Somnium Eleven is a magitech, isekai visual novel adventure game developed by Nochi Studios, the folks behind the cooking visual novel Sifting Thyme. Follow Aria as she competes for a chance to win the title of Sun of the Empire, along the way learn about a rich magitech world and befriend/romance your fellow competitors. Thanks to the lovely folks at Nochi Studios I had the opportunity to play the game early during the early closed beta and y’all I am blown away by this game!!
Suzumu Mado is the first pursuable character in Voltage Inc.’s Love Choice game, Tokyo Love Hustle. He’s a money hungry fake Medium at Mado Psychics and your new boss. Suzumu is a very different character from the usual alpha male LIs Voltage typically releases at launch–in a good way.
In a seedy corner of Shinjuku dwells a group of phony psychic mediums. Using their winning smiles, they attract suckers and make bank. One day, fate leads you to join this disreputable band.
“Wondering if I’m not so bad after all?”
When there is no template in life or love anything can happen…
“Love is freaking stupid.”
Your new job is at Mado Psychics, and your boss is a total jerk. Unless… he’s not all that bad?
“You can stop second guessing yourself. I am all bad.”
Tokyo Love Hustle is the latest Love Choice title in Voltage Inc.’s Love 365 App. Originally released in Japan in September 2021 as S Kyuu Renai, the game made its English language debut early November 2021. This story centers around the heroine becoming entangled in the lives of a band of phony psychics. In this fast-paced comedy, these guys seem utterly clueless as to how romance is supposed to work, but through a series of curious events, the bonds of friendship and love grow.
Exclusively Yours is the latest Otome Romance title to make its way to the Love 365 app. In the game you play as a young woman who is mistaken for her twin sister—a glamorous Executive Assistant at an elite advertising agency. Now she has to fake it till she makes it in the cutthroat business world… an exciting romance awaits!
I kind of fell off the Voltage bandwagon, a little while ago, but this newest release gave me nostalgic flashbacks to one of their older titles, Office Secrets. So I figure what’s the harm in playing through the prologue… and I dunno, I kinda like it. Exclusively Yours: An Office Affair was originally released in 2011 in Japan, so it seems Voltage is giving some of their older titles a fresh coat of paint in the Love 365 app and I’m here for it! So, I sat down and played the prologue for Exclusively Yours and as always, I have some thoughts…
I’m a bit late with this post, seeing as the app officially launched yesterday (forgive me, I have to get back into the swing of things), but better late than never…
So, Voltage Inc. is following in the footsteps of their Voltage USA branch, by launching another mobile portal app, Love 365: Find Your Story, this time exclusively for their localized titles (ie. Love Letter From Thief X, Code of Love: Era of Samurai, and more). This new app will be the exclusive hub for all of your favorite Voltage Inc titles and the place where the company will release all new stories and apps. Let me repeat that for the folks chatting in the back, all current and future Voltage Inc. titles and stories will be released through the new app, though at this time only a handful of titles have been moved to the new app: Love Letter From Thief X, After School Affairs, and Era of Samurai: Code of Love.
But don’t worry, this switch is not nearly as awful as the infamous Lovestruckdebacale that happened earlier this year. I’m going to do a run down of the Love 365: Find Your Story app and sharing my thoughts on the transition, so let’s get this show on the road!!
I misjudged Go in my first review of Irresistible Mistakes, I was fooled by yet another Voltage Inc. character bio, you’d think I’d have learned my lesson by now, but nope… Voltage has Go Okubo billed as a “sweetheart con artist”, which couldn’t have been further from the truth and it’s because of this misleading bio that I almost passed up on one of the best routes in the game.
I went into this route expecting it to fail, but after playing that first chapter I was singing a completely different tune! Go blew Toshiaki’s route out of the water and I am not ashamed to admit that this is my new favorite (we’ll see how I feel after I play Toma’s route 😉 )! If you want a general overview of Irresistible Mistakes, clickHERE, it’s covers the basic premise of the game and will include links to the other character reviews I will write for the game.
It’s been a few weeks since Voltage launched their new portal app Lovestruck, the hub of their English language Amemix titles. And, despite the initial fan backlash, it seems like Lovestruck is here to stay. Voltage is also planning on moving forward with their plan to phase out the individual Amemix Apps (Astoria Fates Kiss, Gangsters in Love, and Castaway: Love’s Adventure) in favor of the new app as stated in a special announcement from the developers on April 17th.
Thankfully, Voltage was kind enough to give us a heads up this time around so that players could properly adjust to the transition. You can read the official announcement from Voltage from the Official Lovestruck Tumblr account or any of Voltage Inc’s social media portals, however I will still outline the changes below:
After a night of heavy drinking, the MC discovers that she slept with the Accounts Planning Executive, Toshiaki Kijima. Unable to reconcile the Demon Executive with the sweet, loving man she shared a night of passion with, the MC initially dismisses the notion that Toshiaki was the one she’d slept with. But, when he sends her a text asking to meet up at the same bar, she realizes the idea might not be as far-fetched as she originally thought! Is there really more to this cool businessman than meets the eye? Or was that night just a beautiful delusion?
This was the route I was most looking forward to and it did not disappoint. This route was very different from Tachibana’s but in a good way. I can’t see how any of the other routes in the game are going to top this one, it was just so… PERFECT! If you want a general overview of Irresistible Mistakes, click HERE, it’s covers the basic premise of the game and will include links to the other character reviews I will write for the game.
After a night of heavy drinking, the MC discovers that she slept with her boss, Creative Director, Shunichiro Tachibana. Embarrassed and unable to remember the sexual encounter, she tries to put the whole affair behind her, but when she’s assigned to work with him on a high profile ad campaign, she finds that she can’t help but remember their night of drunken passion. Things start to look up for our heroine when Tachibana seemingly reciprocates her feelings, but is it love or is he just looking for a fling?
I was genuinely surprised by this route and by Tachibana, Voltage definitely made the one night stand premise seem way more sordid in the promotional material, than it was in the actual route. So, I was kind of expecting something along the lines of one of those cheesy soap operas my Nana likes to watch every day, but this wasn’t anything like that.
