It’s been a few weeks since Voltage launched their new portal app Lovestruck, the hub of their English language Amemix titles. And, despite the initial fan backlash, it seems like Lovestruck is here to stay. Voltage is also planning on moving forward with their plan to phase out the individual Amemix Apps (Astoria Fates Kiss, Gangsters in Love, and Castaway: Love’s Adventure) in favor of the new app as stated in a special announcement from the developers on April 17th.
Thankfully, Voltage was kind enough to give us a heads up this time around so that players could properly adjust to the transition. You can read the official announcement from Voltage from the Official Lovestruck Tumblr account or any of Voltage Inc’s social media portals, however I will still outline the changes below:
- All of the individual AmeMix titles will be removed from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store on April 30th 2017! If you have already downloaded the apps prior to this date, you will still be able to access them on your devices! If you want to download ANY of these apps for the FIRST TIME after this date, you will not be able to.
- Voltage will turn off in-app purchases on May 31st 2017 in all AmeMix Apps! You will still be able to read previously purchased stories within the apps as usual, but you will not be able to purchase new stories.
- Finally, on June 30th 2017 ALL of the AmeMix apps will be removed from their servers! This means that you WILL NOT be able to access any of these apps or any of your purchased stories within the apps regardless of whether or not you downloaded them prior to their removal from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store! You will also not be able to transfer any of your purchased stories to the Lovestruck app after June 30th 2017!
- If you DO NOT wish to lose your purchased stories from Astoria Fates Kiss, Gangsters in Love, and Castaway: Love’s Adventure YOU MUST TRANSFER YOUR STORIES TO THE LOVESTRUCK APP BEFORE JUNE 30TH!!!
I cannot stress this enough, if you do not want to lose your purchased stories, you absolutely must be sure to transfer your stories to the Lovestruck app before June 30th! This is literally the third time I have said that and it’s because it is the most important part of the entire announcement. I don’t know about you guys but I have spent a fortune on Voltage Inc and their AmeMix titles and I am not about to let all that money go down the drain because I forgot a date!
The rest of the announcement consists of a short message from the Lovestruck and AmeMix team urging us to continue to support the apps in the new format. As well as thanks for our patience and understanding during the transition.
So what do you think about this news? If you have any more information to share on the recent Lovestruck situation please feel free to drop a line on this post! As always THANK YOU FOR READING!! If you like what you see, like this post or follow Nice Job Breaking It, Hero!
The dangers of digital purchases. If you don’t transfer fast you may lose your stuff forever. That sucks.
Yup! I’m disappointed, but at least they warned us this time. *sigh* I’m going to transfer everything in May just to be on the safe side
I was angry with them for removing The Queen’s Gambit, Speakeasy Tonight and the other games from the App Store! Absolutely disrespectful to the customers who paid and invested time in the game 😦
