With the way 2020 has been going, I figured now was a great time to bring some super happy energy to Blerdy Otome!! So, I’m tackling the Super Happy Love Award! I was nominated for this super fun award by TheRandomEditora phenomenal blogger and artist! I fell in love with their Bara essays and posts, which are both entertaining and educational—go read those ASAP—but, they also write some great anime analysis essays and reviews that are definitely worth checking out!
I have quite a few award nominations that have piled up, but this one is definitely the most unique AND it was created by the absolutely delightful Pinkie from Pinkie’s Paradise! She created this tag as a way to promote positive vibes in a time when there’s a whole heck of a lot of negativity floating around.
“The ones we love , even when fictional, are oftenly only human after all. With this blog tag I want to spread love for all the fandoms and united fans in positivity again! No longer will we shake our heads and say “this isn’t the <insert fandom> that we used to know.. they destroyed our beloved. NO! We stand together and join forces and turn this into “Remember the time that <insert fandom> did this amazing thing! I LOVE IT!”
Hey guys! I’m back with yet another blog award/tag post, this time around, I was nominated for the Real Neat Blog Award by Megan from A Geeky Gal! I love her blog, while a lot of blogs tend to have a very specific topic, A Geeky Girl covers a wide range of geeky topics, but with a personal flair you don’t see too often in many blogs. While I love all of her content, I especially love her Mental Health in the Geek Community series of posts. They’re a little bit of everything, from self help guides to personal anecdotes, each one is a unique journey that shouldn’t be missed. I want to thank Megan for nominating me for this award and I want to apologize for taking so long to write up my response (I’ve been sitting on this since December).

I’m super late with this and despite it being the middle of Winter, it’s a temperate 65ºF here on the East coast, which I suppose is the perfect time to unload these neglected Sunshine Blogger Award Challenges. Better late than never, right?
This is the one of two Sunshine Blogger posts I’ve gotten, but rather than banging them out in one go I’ll spread them out a bit and post the second one next week. I wanna thank Carla over at Pop Culture Literary for tagging me in this challenge (and sorry for dragging my feet in getting this done). If you guys haven’t heard of Carla or her amazing site, I highly recommend giving it a look, ASAP! Carla covers a wide range of topics within the pop culture sphere from animated shows to films to books to comics, and even Japanese media, if you can think of it she’s probably got a post on it. And they’re not just your run of the mill reviews, Carla writes some great analysis pieces that give a in depth look at a series and it’s influence on the fandom and pop culture as a whole. Seriously, you have to check her stuff out, you won’t be disappointed!
As part of the Sunshine Blogger Award Challenge, Carla came up with 11 questions for me to answer, which I have done below the cut.
So I am super late with this (again), but a few weeks ago, I was nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award by Shojofrom Shojo Thoughts: Otaku Ramblings!! This post will be a little different since Shojo did an anime themed post and I wanted to keep the momentum on that going, so the seven facts I wrote for this one will be anime related!! Woot!! So let’s get this show on the road!!

So some background on these fabulous bloggers…. Kapodaco is an aspiring critic that runs one of the most honest blogs I’ve ever seen!! You can always count on him to give you a thorough assessment of whatever he reviews, be they critically acclaimed anime series or indie games, he holds everything he views to the same standard. He tends to be a harsher critic than most, but when he does write a positive review, you can be sure that the praise is well deserved!
Remy is the authority on all things yuri, if it exists, you can be sure to find a post about it at the Lily Garden! He is one of my favorite bloggers on wordpress and my self appointed kouhai 😛 He is a joy to chat with, no matter what we talk about I always have a good time! Again, thanks to both of you guys for nominating me, it really means alot to know that both of you thought I was worthy of the nomination!!

Since I was nominated by two different bloggers, I have two sets of questions to answer…
I’m still getting used to my work schedule so, I’ve been sitting on this nomination for about a week now… But, last week I saw that the wonderful Remyfool over at The Lily Garden had nominated me for a Liebster Award! First, I want to say thank you so much for thinking about me!!! Remy runs an amazing yuri blog, it’s like a one stop shop of all things yuri! From anime reviews to manga to yuri-centric visual novels, The Lily Garden is a paradise for fans the genre!!
I was nominated for this award back in June by another blogger so if you want to see that post click…. HERE! So why bother writing another Liebster Award post if you already did it? Uhhh the questions are different… I kid, no the real reason is because there has been enough time between the first nomination and this one to justify writing another post…
So what is a Liebster Award? Well, it’s an award that typically recognizes up and coming bloggers, by helping others discover new blogs and facilitate community building.
How does one get it? In order to receive a Liebster Award, you must be nominated by a fellow blogger.
Here are the rules:
Thank the person who nominated you and answer the 11 questions they’ve written for you.
Nominate 11 people and give them 11 different questions to answer.
So I am super late with this (again), but last week, I was nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award by two fantastic bloggers, Cat from over at Another Gaming Day and Scott over at Mechanical Anime Reviews!! I want to thank both of you guys for nominating me for this award, you guys are super special awesome! And to all of my readers, definitely check these fantastic bloggers out when you have the chance, you won’t be disappointed!
I was definitely not expecting these nominations last week, but just know seeing both notifications really made my day!! It always makes me happy to know that people like my blog and enjoy reading the content that I post… So, I’ll do my best to write some more awesome stuff for you all in the future! 🙂 Okay now to the rules, because these awards always have rules….
1) Display Award
2) Thank the person who gave this award (and include a link to their blog)
3) Share seven things about yourself
4) Nominate ten bloggers
