It’s crazy to think that 2021 is almost over, it kind of feels like this year just started and now 2022 is right around the corner. This year opened up so many amazing opportunities that I never dreamed would be possible when I started this site back in 2015!

So, after dragging my feet about it, I broke down and created a discord channel for my blog and for Twitch! I figured it would be a fun idea to connect with folks outside of streams and the blog. Nothing fancy, just a chill space for chill vibes and fun chats! It’s kind of an extension of my Twitch channel, since we tend to have a lot of good discussions that get cut off because I refuse to do a 10 hour stream.

So, remember back in August when I did a call for questions? Yeah, me neither.
I kid. 2020, was the year that I celebrated my 5th Blogging Anniversary and since it’s such a huge milestone, I decided to do a Q&A post, since a lot has changed since I started this site and there are quite a few new faces… I figured this would be a chill way to get to know me and have a bit of fun. Hey Hey Blerdy Tribe! August marks the 5th anniversary of this blog and over the years I have written quite a few posts (over 800 and counting). I’ve come a long way since my start in 2015, but I still like to look back at some of my earlier posts, it keeps me humble.
By 2016, I had started to come into my own a bit and there’s a lot more of a focus to my content–I started a couple of ongoing blogging segments (some of which are now retired) and I made a conscious effort to write more game reviews. So, let’s look back at some of my favorite posts from 2016!!

With the way 2020 has been going, I figured now was a great time to bring some super happy energy to Blerdy Otome!! So, I’m tackling the Super Happy Love Award! I was nominated for this super fun award by TheRandomEditor a phenomenal blogger and artist! I fell in love with their Bara essays and posts, which are both entertaining and educational—go read those ASAP—but, they also write some great anime analysis essays and reviews that are definitely worth checking out!
I have quite a few award nominations that have piled up, but this one is definitely the most unique AND it was created by the absolutely delightful Pinkie from Pinkie’s Paradise! She created this tag as a way to promote positive vibes in a time when there’s a whole heck of a lot of negativity floating around.

Can you believe I’ve been blogging for five years?! I’ve come a long way since my Nice Job Breaking It Hero days and while I’m always looking towards the future, every now and again I like to take a look back and reflect on my past.
