April 5, 2022August 10, 2025

Hey Blerdy Tribe, NaNoRenO 2022 has come and gone and this year there were a total of 185 submissions! For those of you not familiar with NaNoRenO, its an annual month-long game jam held from early March to early April, in which developers are challenged to make a visual novel…

NaNoRenO 2020 Review – ‘Divilethion’

June 1, 2020August 10, 2025

I originally planned to keep my NaNoRenO 2020 reviews contained to the month of May, but what the hell, I’m having a lot of fun with this—so I’ll keep cranking these bad boys out till I’m satisfied! Next up is the dark comedy fantasy visual novel, Divilethion developed by Nemlei. This…

Love Rewind: A Magical Time Travel Romance (Nanoreno 2020) Indie Game Review

May 27, 2020June 24, 2026

Full steam ahead with another NaNoRenO 2020 game, this time around I’m looking at Love Rewind: A Magical Time Travel Romance, a fantasy romance visual novel developed as a collaboration between three game developers—Omelette, Foleso, and Illusia. It’s not uncommon to see devs collaborating on a single game for NaNoRenO and…

NaNoRenO 2020 Review – ‘Dream Dilemma!’

May 24, 2020June 16, 2026

This has turned into quite the undertaking and while I’m pretty sure I won’t get through every submission by the end of the month, I have enjoyed the games I’ve played so far. For those of you just joining the party—all month long I’ve been working my way through submissions…

Flour Hour (Nanoreno 2020) BL Review

May 23, 2020June 17, 2026

It was only a matter of time before I unearthed another boys love title from among the NaNoRenO 2020 submissions. I’ve said this before, but it deserves repeating—boys love games tend to fall into one of two categories—comedy or angsty drama. There are a few exceptions, but for the most…

NaNoRenO 2020 Review – ‘#influenced’

May 15, 2020November 6, 2025

There is such a huge variety of titles among the annual NaNoRenO submissions, that you never truly know what is going to pique your interest. I’m just blindly picking games at random, giving priority to games that I find aesthetically pleasing—it’s shallow, I know, but when there are over 100 games to…

Red-Handed Robin (Nanoreno 2020) Indie Game Review

May 12, 2020July 6, 2026

I’m switching gears a bit from the last NaNoRenO 2020 title and I have to admit I was really looking forward to this release. Mystery, romance, adventure—HitOrMissy’s Red-Handed Robin has everything I love in my visual novels! This is the team’s second game release following Fetch Quest, their submission for NaNoRenO 2019 (which…

NaNoRenO 2020 Review – Dear Devere

May 3, 2020August 10, 2025

This is such a different type of game from the ones I usually review on this site, I tend to focus on more interactive visual novels and otome games, and occasionally I dabble into the world of platformers and adventure games. So when Katy133 emailed me about her newest visual…

NaNoRenO 2020 Review – Demon Kiss

May 2, 2020June 16, 2026

I’m committing myself to playing through these NaNoRenO 2020 game releases and next up is Demon Kiss, a short indie boys love visual novel from Foleso. This is my first experience with this dev, but the art looked nice so I figured I could give it a go. The game follows…

My Only Sunshine Review – A Romance VN That’s Out Of This World!

July 2, 2019June 29, 2026

I absolutely love NaNoRenO because it gives up and coming developers the opportunity to make their debut in the game development world and bring their own unique ideas to life. These are usually smaller projects put together by a much smaller team, however, I’ve played quite a few NaNoRenO games…

These donuts hit different 😏🍩 Man's name would never leave my lips... This fictional man read me for filth... My community claims I'm into furries... but, I just wanted to pet the cute doggo... When a man is so fine you forget how to read... Just finished playing Road to Empress I and oh boy was that a ride. I got more game over ends than I can count and the normal ends are lowkey my favorites. But, one thing has been a constant, my love for Li Tai... that man lives rent free in my head and I can't wait to see him again in Road to Empress II on Friday! That shirt is putting in WORK! I recently played the demo for @azurextwilight.games's Low Effort Romance and our Ken doll boyfriend Owen is vacuum sealed in his clothes... not that I'm complaining! So I started playing Tomodachi Life... and apparently March's rizz was too strong. #tomodachilife Seven Sundays is MESSY! Firefighter Taeyang was ghosted by his first love Jiwan exactly 8 years ago (trust me it's relevant). Fate brings them back together and Taeyang is ready to finally get some answers... but nothing could prepare him for the revelation that Jiwan has a whole kid. And that's not all his son is the same age as their break up and Jiwan's messy ass had the audacity to name his son Taeyang... M-E-S-S-Y!
