Hey fellow Pokemon Trainers, boy do I have some news for you! I just found out that on top of the Darkrai and Zygarde distributions I already wrote about, Nintendo has decided to gift us with some more goodies!

That’s right PokeFans, Nintendo and the Pokemon Company are giving away Shiny Versions of the Pokemon X and Y Mascots, Xerneas and Yveltal! Both Pokemon were introduced in Pokemon X and Y back in 2013!

Xerneas, the Life Pokemon is the Fairy type legendary from Pokemon X. This Pokemon is rumored to sleep for a thousand years as a petrified tree, and it has the ability to grant eternal life! When the horns on it’s head shine seven colors, it is said to be using it’s life giving ability!

Yveltal, the Destruction Pokemon, is a Dark/Flying Pokemon and mascot of Pokemon Y. It is said that when this pokemon spreads it’s feathers it can absorb the life force from living creatures! However, when Yveltal’s life comes to an end it will turn into a cocoon and hibernate.

Both Pokemon are available through Mystery Gift Distribution. In order to obtain both pokemon, players must have a 3DS or New 3DS, and Pokemon X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire.

Shiny Xerneas will be available between May 11 to May 17. The Pokemon will have the moveset: Geomancy, Moonblast, Aromatherapy, and Focus Blast; and the ability Fairy Aura.

Shiny Yveltal will be available between May 20 to May 26. The Pokemon will have the moveset: Oblivion Wing, Sucker Punch, Dark Pulse, and Foul Play; and the ability Dark Aura.
