Sifting Thyme Otome Review – Stir Up Some Romance

Sifting Thyme is a cooking themed mobile otome game developed by indie studio, Nochi Studios. In the game you play as the newest transfer student at a prestigious culinary academy. Immerse yourself in a world of food as you start out your culinary journey—learn about the food industry, while getting to know your talented classmates. The game was originally released episodically, with new chapters being released monthly. Earlier this month the final chapter was released, and I figured now was the perfect time to review the whole game!

Cute boys and good food… what’s not to love? If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I’ve kind of shied away from mobile games in recent years—mobile games can take up a LOT of space on my phone. But, Sifting Thyme is such a sweet and chill game, it was totally worth the download.

Short Otome Games You Can Finish in a Weekend

Most of us are still kicking it in our homes, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the world stops. Between work, school, and family, it can seem like there just aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything we want done. Finding time for your responsibilities and your hobbies can be a bit of a balancing act, and for a lot of folks that means that our hobbies get relegated to the weekends (or late into the night).

Well if you’re looking for some games you can play through in a single weekend, I have the list for you! Each of the games on this list have fantastic stories and characters, but without the long gameplay hours of other otome game releases! So, with the weekend right around the corner, consider adding some of these games to your library!

Thrifty Gaming: Games That Won’t Blow Your Budget #62

Hey there Heroes, Travelers, and Wandering NPCs, I know I missed the last two Thursdays of posts let’s blame that on my leaking ceiling… but, it’s once again that special time of the week—Thrifty Thursday!

In a world where it’s all about the almighty dollar, sometimes it’s a little tough to make our pennies stretch enough to accommodate our hobbies. But, there are plenty of ways to balance your budget while still enjoying the things you love, you just have to be a little thrifty about it. So, I created Thrifty Gaming in order to spotlight some lesser known indie titles that are both entertaining an affordable.

If you’re a new follower or someone who has been following since my Nice Job Breaking It Hero days and have been gone for awhile, here’s a refresher… Thrifty Gaming, is a weekly post series where I spotlight three games/visual novels that are under $10.00. These can be mobile games, PC games, and a few times I have found some nice indie console titles too. The list used to focus on just otome games and romance visual novels, but after requests from a few readers I have since expanded to other gaming genres. I don’t include sales or limited time offers, each title has to be consistently priced at $10.00 or less without any promotions to be included in this line up.

Note, these are not reviews, rather recommendations so your mileage may vary with some of these titles. This week’s post will include a brief synopsis and links to each game so you can add them to your gaming library! You don’t have to break the bank to enjoy your hobbies, so save a little bread and check this week’s thrifty gaming picks!
