Super Special Awesome 500 Follower Collaboration Extraveganza w/ Two Happy Cats!!

Righteo, hey hey Heroes, Travelers, and Wandering NPCs, today I’m bringing you guys a super special awesome collaboration post! A little while ago I hit my 500 follower milestone here on WordPress and I was playing around with ideas for what I could do to celebrate this momentous occasion when I saw that my blogging twin Steph over at Two Happy Cats had also just hit 500 followers over on her blog… that’s when I got an idea… a deliciously wonderful idea, why not do a collab/joint celebration?!

For those of you that don’t know, Steph and I started blogging around the same time, I think our anniversaries are just a few days apart, so I like to think of her as my blogging twin from halfway across the world. We struck up an instant friendship, bonding over our love of otome games, boy’s love, and of course Junji Ito!! So it must have been fate that we hit the big 500 follower milestone around the same time, and it seemed only fitting that I celebrate with one of my favorite bloggers around! If you haven’t already, I highly suggest you check out her site, she covers a wide range of topics, from otome games to anime to boy’s love to personal pieces, she is just a phenomenal blogger and friend!

For our super special awesome 500 Follower Collaboration, Steph and I decided to write up questions for the other to answer, so we each came up with six questions, I’ll be answering her questions here and she will be answering her questions over on her blog!

“Husbando” and “waifu” are now very common terms within the fandom to refer to fictional characters in anime, manga, or games that you would like to be your husband or wife. Many fans, however, use these terms interchangeably with anime crush.

Non-fans may view us as weird, obsessive freaks. Viral news about a Japanese gamer marrying (not legally) a game character back in 2009 and a Japanese company offering marriage certificates with 2D anime brides just strengthen misconceptions about us. Before anything else, I would like to clarify that these examples are extreme and do not apply to all fans. Most of us may call our 2D crushes “husbando” or “waifu”, but this does not necessarily mean that we’ll go as far as actually “marry” them in real life. In our fantasies, maybe.

I’m back! Pokeninja90 and I have decided to torture ourselves further by bringing you our Top Three Moments from Season Three of Haikyuu. As always this was a challenge! It has become a bit of a tradition for us to guest on each other’s blogs for this challenge. So below you can check out my previous work here on Nice Job Breaking It Hero. I hope you all enjoyed the stroll down memory lane and are ready for some serious Haikyu talk. I have to admit (I know I say this every season) but this was so hard to write! You would think with only 10 episodes this would be easier but no. It seemed like I was having a favorite moment every moment! I swear by the end of the first episode I had about 12 favorite moments.

I managed to narrow everything down to three and I’m pretty pleased with them. Each of these moments basically encompasses everything I loved about this season.

[Guest Blogger] Jilted: Men of Yoshiwara – Hayabusa | Main Story Review

Good afternoon bloggers! Hazelyn here from the anime blog Archi-Anime. Today Naja and I are bringing you a very special collaboration post! This will be my first Otome game review ever, and a very first collaboration post. Hooray for firsts! I’m a bit late to the otome game, but hey, better late than never!

A few months ago I befriended Naja, whom as of late has become a really good friend of mine, I would like to say! I call her the otome queen and my Otome/BL Senpai. I have much to learn, and she has already dragged me down into backlog hell with the amount of games that must are to be played.

I’ve always wanted to write a review of an otome game, so when Naja senpai approached me to write a collaboration on a route I was both ecstatic and flattered she wanted to do this. She had already gotten me hooked onto Voltage games (bye money!) and I was still fairly a n00b to otome. So far I’ve been spoiled with a lot of great routes! So we decided to try a game neither of us had barely any experience with. I had played one route on the mobile version (Iroha), but I ended up buying it on steam during the Winter Steam Sale because it was more cost-efficient than paying per route.

Men of Yoshiwara.pngThe game we ended up choosing was The Men of Yoshiwara: Kikuya. There are a total of two Men of Yoshiwara games, the other being The Men of Yoshiwara: Oghiya, in which our MC is vastly different-but more on the Kikuya version of her later.

Hey everyone!

It’s GrimmGirl here, back again to guest blog here at Nice Job Breaking It, Hero. Some time ago Pokeninja 90 and myself decided to be batshit crazy and come up with our top three moments of season 1 of Haikyu. If you have seen the show I know what you are thinking, “But how can you choose just three? It is logically impossible.”

Let me tell you, it was a struggle but both of us managed the impossible! That’s just how good we are cue wink. If you didn’t get a chance to see our top three moments of season 1 you are surely missing out so make sure to check them both out <3

Obviously our success at being able to choose three moments from season one turned us into gluttons for punishments because we are back again with our Top Three Moments of season two. If I thought choosing for season one was hard, choosing for season two was emotional whiplash.

So after much deliberation and maybe just a few moments of ugly crying as I had to remove some moments off the list… I came up with this fine list of Haikyu moments that are sure to evoke some sense of emotion. Enjoy!

GrimmGirl Has Joined Your Party! Anime Collab: Top Moments of Haikyu- Season 1

Hello wonderful people of Pokeninja90’s blog!

 

I’m Kat from GrimmGirl and I’m really excited that I get to work with Pokeninja90 for this Haikyu collaboration series. I’m a huge Haikyu fan and it didn’t take me long to convince Pokeninja90 to start watching the series as well. I’m happy to say she loved it as well and thus our collaboration idea came about!

 

We decide to really challenge ourselves by coming up with our top three favorite moments during Haikyu. To make this task a little easier we broke it up into two posts. Top three moments for season one and top three moments for season two. Make sure to keep an eye out for our season two post coming soon!

I also would like to warn anyone who has yet to see the show that all of these moments will contain spoilers.
