About Jest Messters
Neim’s quiet life took a chaotic turn when the mysterious Jester appeared on her windowsill one fateful night, bestowing her a “blessing” meant to spread joy, but at the cost of her memories. Now, she can’t stop blurting out terrible puns and painfully awkward dad jokes, much to the confusion (and horror) of everyone around her.
Neim soon transfers to the prestigious Marney High, where she encounters both friends and foes—some who may hold the answers to her past. But not everyone can be trusted… As sinister schemes brew behind the scenes, Neim gets tangled up in a mysterious chain of events, without knowing that her curse is the key to uncovering the truth. Can Neim unmask the Jester and uncover the mystery?

Jest Messters Demo Review
Jest Messters is just the right amount of cringey humor that I love and Just Matt is definitely my chaotic soulmate! I have played plenty of comedy games, but this one had me laughing out loud at the cheesy dad jokes and puns (much to the chagrin of my stream chat). Neim is an upbeat and friendly heroine plucked straight from the pages of a shoujo manga with a curse that forces her to spout cringe-worthy puns. I LOVE her! Neim is my spirit animal and I live for her goofy sense of humor!
As you’d expect, her unique brand of humor doesn’t earn her many friends, but that doesn’t stop her from trying. Luckily for her she gets a fresh start at a new school and a second chance at making some friends and having the fun school life of her dreams.
At her new school she meets tsun bun scholar, Rico; the secretive delinquent, Seth; Just Matt, the chaotic meme lord and Neim’s childhood friend; and Phoenix, the charming school heartthrob. I don’t say this often, but I absolutely adore all of the potential love interests—though in my heart of hearts, Matt is the one for me. The man meme’d his way right into my heart and his quirky, chaotic energy matches my inner practical jokester. A close second is Rico, because I love a challenge and seeing how annoyed he gets at Neim’s antics makes me want to tease him all the more~
Leading lady, Neim is one of my favorite types of otome heroines! She’s funny, sweet, well meaning, and absolutely unhinged! She reminds me a lot of myself when I was in high school, which is probably why I related to her awkward sense of humor so much. Her name being a pun is *chef’s kiss*! Also, the expressions she makes are AMAZING, literally straight out of an anime!
In fact, all the art in this game is GORGEOUS! I love the character designs, but the expressions on all the sprites are HILARIOUSLY over the top in a fun comedic way! No notes, just vibes! I need more otome games to step it up with their expressions because these made the game for me!
Most of the demo has the vibe of a shoujo rom-com. After meeting the guys, Neim has finally achieved the fun school life of her dreams; walking to and from school with everyone, hanging out during lunch, and almost burning down the school after a prank gone wrong—ya know, normal school life stuff.
Or so she thinks, things take a turn for the bizzare, strange assassins, sinister schemes, and *gasp* high school drama soon put a wrench in her happy plans. Unbeknownst to Neim there are some wild things going on behind the scenes at her school and with her new friends and her curse is the key to solving everything.
However, there’s just one catch, she’ll have to uncover the true identity of the mysterious Jester who cursed her in the first place! But, when everyone is hiding their own secrets, the culprit could be just about anyone… and trust, these boys are pretty sus.
Is Jest Messters Worth Playing?
The Jest Messters demo covers the first five chapters of the common route and an additional chapter of each of the boys’ routes. Which gives you plenty of time to suss out the vibe of the game and the characters, while dropping a few hints at the mysteries to come in the full game. But, it was not enough—I need more! This is one of my favorite demos from the Otome Jam 2025 submissions, and I cannot wait for the full game to drop! I need more of Matt’s memes and chaos and Rico’s snarky quips and I NEED TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON WITH SETH!! RUN, don’t walk to play Jest Mesters, this demo will have you cracking up from start to finish!
