Check out the full game review: [Full Game Review] English Otome- Seduce Me 2: The Demon War
The purpose of demos are to get you hyped for the actual game, well mission accomplished! Michaela Laws’ newly released demo does that and more! I have never been so ready for a new release as I have for Seduce Me 2, the sequel to free to play otome Seduce Me. I can’t wait for the game, and I am more than willing to pay any amount just to get my hands on it when it is released.
Seduce Me 2: The Demon War Official Synopsis
…Follows the story of Mika Anderson as she is suddenly thrown into the Abyssal Plains right before she is about to be married to one of the five Incubi Brothers featured in the first game. What’s even worse is that she is thrown there in the middle of a Rebellion against the Evil Demon Lord and must not only assist Diana and the Rebel Leaders in the war, but must watch as the man she loves fights alongside them after he comes to rescue her.
So I played through James’ route first (megane men are my bias). The first thing I noticed was the updated art which has a lot more detail, and is an improvement on the first game. Now my Latin is a little rusty, so the first few scenes had me confused, but I assume it will be explained in more detail in the full version of the game. James’ route starts off with a dream…actually it’s more nightmare than anything else. Evil James is, well, evil, but thank goodness it’s only a dream. Mika wakes up from a bad dream to see that everything is normal, James is asleep beside her and all is right with the world. Shaken by the dream Mika freaks out, James takes all of this in stride, reassuring her that everything is fine and they go on to have super sexy time.
The next day still shaken by the dream Mika calls (this is where my heart broke) Sam’s….Sam’s….wi-…okay I can’t say it it hurts to much to even write it…well she calls, a girl named Carrie, and asks for advice about the dream. Carrie, a witch, does a reading for Mika, but the tarot cards spell out doom and gloom for Mika and her upcoming nuptials. Oh, no! The rest of the demo follows the wedding planning, another more vivid nightmare, and Mika getting dragged into the Abyssal Plains…you know normal stuff.
James was my favorite, but Sam, Sam is giving him a run for his money! Sam route was amazing (he must be someone’s favorite)! He is my second bias, tsunderes, I love them in all shapes and sizes. Sam’s route starts off with the incubi bros nagging ragging on Sam bout the upcoming wedding. Sam, wants a small wedding and the bros aren’t having it, but then Sam hits them with an even bigger curve ball. Sam wants to have a human wedding ceremony and a demon wedding, which everyone immediately objects to. But when you read his explanation, you can’t help but melt, it’s so Sam…and so sweet. Mika overhears the argument, so the incubi explain the logistics of a demon wedding, mind you Sam has already stormed off at this point. Mika is worried, but she pushes the issue from her mind for the time being.
The next day Sam takes her to her grandfather’s grave so that he can ask his permission to marry Mika. This is where i wanted to jump through the screen and hug Sam myself, this is how you are supposed to do it, asking permission is an absolute must for me. The scene at the grave is so awkwardly heartfelt, I fell for Sam hard. Later Mika broaches the demon wedding issue with Sam, which ends with super sexy time (Mika the tease is awesome), fair warning, this scene does include a lap dance!
However after sex bliss does not last long, enter especially heart wrenching nightmare. This was by far the saddest thing I ever read, I damn near cried…I can’t bear to describe it here…but kudos to the voice actor for Sam he deserves all the praise for that one…I felt the pain…Fast-forward to the wedding day and Mika getting dragged into the Abyssal Plains
Mika and Matthew are at home writing up their wedding invitations, when Mika asks if Matthew’s mother would approve of the wedding. Matthew, replies that, like most parents, she’d be okay with it as long as Matthew was happy. Mika then hears someone call out Matthew’s true name, but Matthew insists that he can’t hear anything. Mika dismisses it and the pair go upstairs for some super shota sexy time! Now as sexy as sexy time is…the CG, was a bit off putting, Matthew really looks like a twelve year old in this one…and that was a huge buzz kill for me. Don’t get me wrong the CG is well done…he just looks 12, and it feels illegal to look at it for too long.
Enter oddly prophetic nightmare, to ruin the lovely after sex glow. The dream shows a new side of Matthew, and I kinda like it…
Evil shota + Power trip= SEXY ALERT
Fast-forward to wedding and Alice in Wonderland-esque trip to the Abyssal Plains…
Damien’s demo route was interesting…I didn’t dislike it, but it wasn’t my favorite. Damien is still depowered, after the events of the last game, which I’m okay with. Damien and Mika have settled into a nice routine, planning their wedding and being a lovey dovey couple.
This route was so blah for me I can’t seem to remember what happened in it really…Now I remember the nightmare Mika has and I will say this, Damien is so selfless, he has earned my respect!
One thing I did notice, though, was that the new artwork made Damien look super young, I know he’s the youngest and all, but he almost looks too young.
Last, but not least, is Erik…I dunno I guess I just am not an Erik fan…not that he is terrible or anything…he just isn’t my type…Flirty characters like Erik are a bit off putting, so I rarely choose them. But his route hinted at some interesting plot elements, I’m actually looking forward to his route just to see how they play out in the full game. I won’t say much, but I will say that: “I’m ready”!
Info on the Dev
This ended up being longer than I originally intended…but hey it happens like that sometimes.
I am really looking forward to this game, I guess I can replay the first game again, but man am I hyped!
