LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL, it’s been forever since I participated in a tag game so thank you Mel ( Mel in Animeland) for including me in this one. I will admit that when I received the WordPress notification about the tag I started considering which hotties to use for this post and sadly, I had a really hard time narrowing the list down to just five hotties… I mean, I love all my baes and husbandos for different reasons so picking just five… it was a struggle. Also, I’m doing things a bit different with this post, all of my choices will be from games (heavy on the otome baes).
Of all the routes in Era of Samurai: Code of Love Hajime Saito is the character I was most interested in! I’ve been (im)patiently waiting Saito’s route since it was announced. I love Hajime Saito in Hakuoki, so I had high expectations for his route. Hajime Saito is my favorite member of the Shinsengumi! So I went into this story expecting Voltage to bring me the moon on a string and I got that and more. I didn’t think anything could be more heartbreakingly tragic than Soji Okita’s route. But I was mistaken, Hajime Saito was definitely worth the wait!
So, finally Voltage Inc decided to jump on the Shinsengumi bandwagon with their newest release; Era of Samurai: Code of Love. I have no idea why they saw fit to replace Shinsengumi with Samurai, at this point in the game it’s not like Western audiences are unfamiliar with the Shinsengumi especially with the Hakuokiseries still dominating the western otoge market… But, I’m sure they had their reasons…
I have played a couple of games featuring the Shinsengumi, some were really good…and others not so much, so I’m really curious to see what kind of spin Voltage plans on putting on the historical samurai romance premise (that they didn’t already cover in Sakura Amidst Chaos/Samurai Love Ballad).
