My Top 5 Worst Mobile Otome Games

So I had a lot of requests for a Best and Worst Mobile Otoge list, but I’ve been too busy with school and reviews to write anything before now. So I finally made a little time in my schedule to write this post. Originally this was going to be one giant post, but I decided to break it down to two separate posts (gonna milk this as long as I can).

So, I’m pretty picky when it comes to what games I play, and more importantly which games I spend my money on so this list was kind of hard to narrow down. I tried to choose a diverse set of games, but as I said before I’m picky. Most of the games on this list are free games, there’s only two paid games on this list, because the ticket system of free to play games usually causes me to rage quit well before I even get very far in the story… I had a really hard time compiling this list and I even had to ask for some help. I tend to forget about bad games, I guess it’s some kind of coping mechanism, so I did my best with this…You won’t find any Voltage Inc games on this list, they have their own list.

control your emotions

Before you all start grabbing your torches and pitchforks, this list is purely my opinion…You are more than welcome to agree or disagree with me if you want, by all means leave a comment and suggest better “worst” games. So without further ado here we go: My Top 5 Worst Mobile Otome Games.

My Lover is a Deranged Rabbit: Alice in the Heart- Peter Review

Edit: On September 25, 2015 QuinRose’s parent company Artmove ceased distribution of ALL QuinRose games. As of right now the game is still available in the GooglePlay store, but has been removed from Apple’s App store! Despite this I hope you enjoy this review!

Alice in the Heart has not been received favorably by many fans. I’ve read several reviews and rants about its many shortcomings. Many have called the game half-assed, drawing attention the poor translation quality, hastily edited CGs, and lackluster writing. For me this is my first ever Quin Rose game (I’m a Quin Rose virgin 😉 ), so I may be a bit more forgiving of shortcomings in the game…I’m not going to go into a whole lot of detail about the gameplay as a whole, for that check out my earlier post about the game HERE, where I give my first thoughts about the game, the review covers the prologue.

So I decided that Peter would be the first guy I tried in the game… He’s the first guy you meet, so why not…Down the Hole croppedI have mixed feelings about Prime Minister Peter White…For one he’s a megane man, which may have influenced my decision to play him first, but Peter is the complete opposite of my type. He is madly in love with Alice from the jump, which at times can be a bit suffocating, his affection was a bit too pushy for me. I found that I liked cold, cruel Peter a bit more than I liked overly affectionate Peter…. While I did get Peter’s Best Ending on the first try, the translation made it a little hard to understand…so I had to play his route a second time for the sake of clarity.

First Thoughts: Alice in the Heart-Wonderful Wonder World

Alice in the Heart – Wonderful Wonder World is an Alice in Wonderland inspired fantasy otome game developed by QuinRose. So, I’m about a year late at finally playing this game. So when I heard that we were going to get an English port of Alice in the Country of Hearts, I was super stoked! Alice in Wonderland the otoge, is like a dream, but then I heard about the terrible translation. It broke my heart.

So with heavy heart I decided to pass the game up and moved on, but now that the semester is done with and winter break is on the horizon, I figured it was time to finally give the game another try. So, the elephant in the room: the translation! It’s completely awful, but bearable. I mean I will give QuinRose props for translating the entire game on their own, especially since they aren’t native English speakers!

good effort
Half a round of applause for QuinRose
