About Lucky Dog 1
It all starts with the slam of a prison door. Four captains from the same Mafia family, the CR:5, are taken out in one fell swoop and left to rot behind bars.
Lucky for them, our hero’s already there.
Gian’s just a run-of-the-mill wiseguy, passing his time doing petty jobs for the family when he’s on the outside and living the lazy life when he’s in the slammer. But those easy days come to an end when he gets word from the boss: if he can break the captains out, Gian will earn a spot at the top of the hierarchy. Can he pull off a job this big, or is it more than even Gian’s fabled good luck can manage?

Characters of Lucky Dog 1

Giancarlo (Protagonist)
Gian’s good fortune seems to get him out of any trouble that finds him, so much so that people call him Lucky Dog.
A bit of a slob, he cares more about being happy than cutting a sharp figure. His mouth is always occupied, whether it’s with a wisecrack, a cigarette, or chewing gum. Small details aren’t really his scene; he’s more a big picture kind of guy, but he’ll make the effort when it comes to his friends.
A lowly soldier in the CR:5, Gian’s been locked up countless times since he was a kid, and he’s broken out just as many. He’s a true jailbreak veteran, and his luck has held good long enough that he’s never failed an attempt.
He may be a perennial jailbird and a member of the Mafia, but Gian’s somehow held onto a naive streak underneath all that. Though he’s cunning when it counts, he feels too much to be really safe in the kind of life he lives.
His full name doesn’t come up all that often, but it’s Giancarlo Bourbon del Monte.

Ivan Fiore
One of the more radical members of the family, Ivan’s got his sights set on making it to the top.
Gian doesn’t know him that well, but his reputation precedes him. The fact that he isn’t Italian would be enough to make him stand out in CR:5, but Ivan’s also infamous for trampling his allies underfoot in the climb to where he wants to get. He lies as easily as breathing and plays dumb all the while. Bad-tempered and difficult to get along with, Ivan is extremely ambitious and pushy, which is to be expected in someone who’s made it so far so young.
Though they haven’t met before, Ivan’s heard a thing or two about Gian, and he’s not happy about Gian’s potential promotion to a spot over Ivan’s head. Ivan’s lousy personality hasn’t won him many friends. He can out-talk and out-muscle most people. Despite all this bluster and bravado, he’s rather easy to tease and will blow his lid at the drop of a hat.

Bernardo Ortolani
In an organization littered with upstarts and rookies, Bernardo is an Old World traditionalist, methodical and confident in his work and staunchly loyal. Because of his seniority, he tends to handle cleanup for the other captains, as well as taking care of the family’s financial affairs and accounting.
Having known each other since before Bernardo was a captain, he and Gian are friendly, bantering back and forth with casual ease, but neither has ever made a move to get closer than that.

Luchino Gregoretti
Larger than life, Luchino radiates charisma. He’s outgoing, loves spending money, and doesn’t sweat the small stuff. The downside is that he’s overbearing and arrogant, and his absolute confidence in himself leaves him sounding like he’s always ordering people around. Nevertheless, he tends to attract women and men alike with his large stature, handsome features, and fashionable appearance.
He loves girls, booze, and gambling, but pays a surprising amount of attention to how his actions impact what’s at stake. He is popular among his subordinates and the local Italian immigrant population for his attention and generosity.

Giulio di Bondone
Soft-spoken and unnervingly calm, Giulio kills without hesitation. If anything, he’s more enthusiastic about death than he is about most things.
Because he’s refined and polite, as befitting the high-born heir of a family with long-standing ties to the Mafia, people tend to like Giulio. He doesn’t seem to care much one way or the other about most people, but when his interest is caught it burns with destructive intensity.
Just as Gian’s nickname is Lucky Dog, Giulio’s known as the Mad Dog, a reference to his impeccable record as the CR:5’s best hitman.

OMG, I love the character designs for this game! It reminds me of Ouran High School Host Club.
You are so right, Lucky Dog does have an anime style vibe to it! (lol now I kinda want to rewatch OHSHC)
