Thoughts on AmuLit and their Releases
The AmuLit releases have been met with mixed results by Western otome fans, who notices inconsistencies with the art assets and bugs with new releases—causing many to question the publisher’s quality control for the new brand. While Neon Clash was one of the more hotly anticipated titles from Voltage Inc./AmuLit, it is yet to be seen if this release will also come with the same issues we have come to expect from Voltage’s console releases.
Both Even if TEMPEST and Red Bell’s Lament launched with game breaking bugs and quality issues, that are still not fixed. In addition to that there have been claims that Voltage is using AI art in their console releases; so there is definitely room for improvement.
Even with that said, Neon Clash boasts an impressive team including scenario writer, Ririka Yoshimura (Cupid Parasite, Cafe Enchante, and Despera Drops). So, I have high hopes for this release, but I will remain cautiously optimistic until I have the game in my hands.
Learn More About AmuLit

AmuLit is Voltage Inc.’s console games brand. The name AmuLit, a combination of the English words Amulet and Literature, is meant to inspire and protect players. Lit is also representative of the light within, and the “i” is a nod to “Ai,” the Japanese word for love. All of these aspects of the name represent a hope that players will discover and weave their own stories, and thereby make their own luck in life.
