Otome Fam, we have been swimming in Kickstarter campaigns recently (IDK about y’all but my wallet is WEEPING!) That said, here’s a re-launch of a campaign from a Japanese publisher, LocaGames. The team is looking to fund the English localization of their upcoming dark fantasy otome, Volontés! In case you aren’t familiar with LocaGames, they are the team behind the fantasy otome, Yukar From The Abyss, which draws inspiration from Hokkaido myth.
The team attempted to raise funds for Volontés last year, but the campaign was ultimately unsuccessful. This time around the team hopes to raise funding through Kickstarter for an English language localization. The current campaign is set to run until June 30th and hopes to raise $41,736 USD.
About Volontés
Volontés is an Dark Fantasy × Suspense otome game in which the main character, who has lost everything, finds her way of life while facing tragedy.
It is an era shrouded in darkness, where the world is sealed off, and a deadly plague ravages the land. A peaceful village is ruthlessly attacked by a knightly order, leaving your home destroyed and family murdered.

He serves as a court bard, entertaining the palace with his tales, yet is devoid of any magical abilities. Additionally, he is also a member of the knightly order. His sharp tongue has left him with few friends, yet despite this, he is surprisingly easy to talk to.

Seductive x Esteemed Physician | Age 26
As a magical medical practitioner, he serves as the royal physician to the king. Kind to everyone, he holds no interest in the power struggles within the castle. Strangely, he attracts women effortlessly yet maintains an emotional distance from others. One can’t help but hope that his kindness and trustworthiness are genuine.
Features to Expect in Volontés
- The full game will feature four playable romance routes, each with their own unique endings that include: Happy End, Tragic End, Plunder End, and Multiple Bad Ends.
- Volontés will feature original artwork and 30 CG images to collect.
- There will also be quality Japanese voice acting for the game.
- Volontés will be made available on the Nintendo Switch in NA, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and Hong Kong/Taiwan. (A Steam port is planned if Stretch Goals are met).
