Yuri Friends! Studio Élan released 4 brand new bite-sized yuri visual novels that are all free to play on their itch.io. Each of these games was made as part of an internal game jam during the month of September, in which teams had to create a new game from scratch. These games were previously announced at the beginning of the month through a series of livestreams done in collaboration with the Bellflowers, a group of streamers who collaborate with Studio Élan.
The 4 new visual novels are Upwards, Rain!, On Wings Bringing Sleep, Yuri Paddle: An Anime Convention Murder Mystery, and Witch You Want. Each game is playable for free on PC (Windows, Linux, macOS) with some ported to other platforms such as android and browsers.
About the Garden Variety Set
Garden Variety: Dandelion Set is the internal game jam held by Studio Élan, an established yuri visual novel development studio. A game jam is an event where participants, usually teams, have a limited amount of time to make a game mostly from scratch and typically follow a theme.
Dandelion Set consisted of 4 teams with over 10 people across all teams working on 4 different games. The theme for the jam was yuri, as Studio Élan focuses on wlw stories.
Upwards, Rain!
On the outskirts of a small village stands the Mortem Post, a massive tree which receives and delivers letters from those who have passed on. Deciding to break protocol to lend a helping wing, Rain, a flighty little courier takes a skittish girl by the name of Mila on an adventure through the inner workings of the post office. Together, they search for a letter containing the last words of someone who seemingly never existed.
On Wings Bringing Sleep
Morgaine is an outcast among the fae as her people’s power is ever-dwindled by the advance of human technology. When she meets a mysterious and enthralling human girl within the forest one day, Morgaine grows certain that this girl is in need of her magical protection. But Ilse has secrets of her own, and the growing feelings between them may cost more than either girl might ever pay…
Yuri Paddle: An Anime Convention Murder Mystery
Onkai Expo is on fire. As the guest coordinator of a small time anime convention with big problems, it’s up to the underpaid and overburdened Stella to solve the murder of a famous cosplayer.

A preppy and questionably excellent witch runs a local shop but desperately needs help making potions before the festival that weekend! Can you help this girlfailure’s business survive?!
Each of these games are bite-sized experiences lasting no longer than 1-2 hours. They can all be played on the Studio Élan itch.io for free. Every game is playable on PC (Windows, Linux, macOS) and some are playable on other platforms such as android and browsers.
