Otome Fam we are being fed once again by publisher Aksys Games! During their panel at Anime Expo 2024 the publisher announced three new otome releases that are sure to get the western otome fandom excited! Previously released on the PS Vita, mystery romance otome, 7’scarlet is making it’s way to Nintendo Switch consoles in 2025 worldwide. But the biggest reveals were the localization announcements of LicoBiTs’s Utakata no Uchronia and Otomate’s Mistonia no Kibou—both of which release in Japan this year!
7’scarlet | Spring 2025
Previously released in English on the PS Vita in 2018, it is set to release on the Nintendo Switch in Japan July 2024.
Take on the role of a young woman journeying to the remote town of Okune-zato to locate her missing brother. Shaped like a crescent moon, Okune-zato is shrouded in dark myths and legends. As the protagonist and her childhood friend get to know the cast of eccentric characters at the Fuurinkan Hotel, they are drawn into the mysterious events taking place in the town. Encounter heart-racing twists and turns as you dig deeper into the story.
Mistonia no Kibou -The Lost Delight- (English Title TBD) | 2025
A tale filled with love and fixation, woven together by those who carry the blood of the fairies. The story takes place in Grand Alvion, a kingdom thriving under the rule of the fairy queen, in an era where light and shadow coexist. On the outskirts of the capital city stands a noble residence belonging to a prestigious family, where a newly-hired maid is about to set foot onto the property: our heroine, Applause. Having lost everything eight years prior, she swore to take revenge on those responsible. Under a false identity, she begins her search for the truth as she works at the mansion belonging to a potential target for her vengeance. What secrets will she unearth upon her chance encounters with the distinguished noblemen who protect the kingdom? What path will she choose? And so begins the revenge tragedy of a girl bound by a hapless fate.
Utakata no Uchronia (English title pending) | 2025
Created by team that previously worked on the Piofiore Fated series to bring us a new otome developer LicoBiTs (a collaboration between TIS Creation and Broccoli).
Welcome to the renowned and prosperous utopia, the flying city of Itehari. Our protagonist is Hinagiku, a noble lady from a distinguished family who longs for the world beyond the floating city. One day, Hinagiku, having just turned 18 years old, encounters an amnesiac man named Yashiro. Their fortuitous meeting becomes the catalyst that drags her into a series of events involving the secrets and various truths hidden beneath the surface of this beautiful utopia.
Also announced during the panel were updates for Virche Evermore -EpiC: Lycoris- which now has a release date of November 7, 2024 and a tentative date for Despera Drops for Spring (March 6th) 2025!

Mistonia is what I’m most interested in! It’s the most recent, it’s only recently been released in Japanese, and its protagonist is adorable! So rare for a protagonist with glasses. Utakada, I’m in love with the artist, the characters’ visuals always look beautiful anyway. ❤️

OMG YES! RiRi’s art is so pretty, I’m glad to see something from them since I loved Piofiore. Also happy to see more non-Otomate games, finally some more variety!
I think it’s cool that we’ve gone from maybe one game every few years to multiple releases close to the original Japanese release! We’ve come far.
Can’t wait for more people to experience the flawed work of art that is 7’Scarlet. Not gonna lie, I literally only fell for one LI in this game, but what. a. guy. Still, the atmosphere, lore and mysteries are fun enough to carry the whole game on their back, and I was hooked from beginning to end.
(also more PSV ports is always a good thing! The only localized ones stuck in Vita hell now are Sweet Fuse, Bad Apple Wars and Period Cube…. Praying that we get at least the first two ones out one day 🙂 )

Do you have any particular titles you’re excited to play? I honestly haven’t sorted my feelings out yet, we’re going to be eating so well. TsuiTsui is the one I’ve heard good things about, and aside from that it’s all still a happy blur 😀 Maybe Mistonia- what little plot the official summary provides seems all kinds of interesting already… Revenge-based romance has a ton of potential! ^^
I ADORE 7’SCARLET! Murder mysteries are my jam and like you said as flawed as it is, damn was it one hell of a ride! So glad new gamers will get to experience it on the Switch!
We definitely need someone to save the games lost to the Vita… they deserve a Switch update too!

So of the releases announced, I am definitely really excited for Bustafellows 2 (PQube) and Utakata no Uchronia and TsuiTsui, because of all the good buzz.
So if I remember correctly Mistonia has triangle romance routes, kinda like OZMAFIA and I am def looking forward to that!
