Korean Slice-of-Life Otome Game, Vibrant Frame Coming to Steam

Korean publisher Lumiere Entertainment Inc. has another stealth otome release for us! This time the publisher is releasing a sweet college slice-of-life romance, Vibrant Frame (청춘프레임) in English via the Steam platform.

An otome novel adventure that captures a slice of life and sweet romance of youths striving for their dreams without despairing over reality.

I don’t know about you all, but I love a good slice-of-life romance story and Vibrant Frame looks gorgeous. There is no official release date just yet, so be sure to add the game to your wishlist on Steam to catch all updates! Lumiere Entertainment is also the team behind the vampire romance game, Phantom of the Twilight.

Vibrant Frame will feature Korean voice acting and text in English, Japanese, Simplified & Traditional Chinese!

About Vibrant Frame

A story that will capture the most brilliant moments of ours.
Every freshman dreams of the perfect college life—bursting with passion and eager to conquer every challenge. From heart-wrenching love affairs to shaking off heartbreak with a drink, the journey is filled with ups and downs.
But as time passes, reality sets in. Students worry about the future, calculating relationships that might benefit them later.

This story is a slice of life for seniors stepping into the real world, holding onto their dreams one last time.

Players step into the shoes of the protagonist, ‘Seong Ah-ri’, navigating through the story and utilizing the ‘Shutter Chance’ to pursue the main character, ‘Cha Han-joo,’ unlocking various endings.

Synopsis

Characters of Vibrant Frame

Main Characters

Seong Ah-ri (name customizable) – Theater and Film major

A diligent college student with a perfect balance of school, part-time jobs, and home. She constantly refuses her friends’ invitations to group dates, focusing instead on her part-time job.

For Ah-ri, the immediate concerns of tuition and studies are paramount, and any spare time is spent watching films, aspiring to be a director.

She thought love was out of the question, until a man more stirring than any film enters her life…

Cha Han-joo (CV. Kim Da-ol) Mechanical Engineering major

With his sharp mind, handsome looks, and third-generation chaebol status, Cha Han-joo is the elite of the Mechanical Engineering department, proving the world’s unfairness. With a face and stature fit for a model or actor, he is already coveted by many top companies.

To him, love was just a fleeting game, until a woman more chaotic than any reality he’s known appears in his life…

Side Characters

Lee Min-seong (CV. Won Jong-jun)

Ja-rim’s boyfriend and their caring senior in the industry.
Rarely loses his temper and usually wears a warm smile.
However, he is strict with himself and maintains a clear distance from others.

To him, romance had to be perfect, like a well-composed photograph.
He wanted to be an ideal partner, always showing his best side.
He wanted to share his youth this way, but lately, it hasn’t been easy.

Yoon Ja-rim (CV. Kwon Da-ye)

Ah-ri’s reliable supporter and energetic friend.
With a fiery personality, she speaks her mind freely but is also kind-hearted and never holds grudges, making her a magnet for people.

For Ja-rim, romance had to be an intense experience, always stirring her heart deeply.
She wanted to shower her partner with affection, to express herself, to live a romantic youth. And that person was Min-seong…

Bae Jung-yeon (CV. Lee Ju-eun)

A queen-like figure adored by professors in the Theater and Film department.
She prioritizes enjoying life over studying, often skipping classes, using her charming appearance to secure her position.

To her, romance was like a luxury handbag—something easily attainable with a little effort, envied by all. And if it became boring, she could easily replace it.
She enjoys her youth to the fullest.

Seo Ji-hoon (CV. Park Joon-hyung)

Ah-ri’s best friend, often referred to as her soulmate.
So quiet and shy that his presence can go unnoticed, yet he is passionate about becoming a scriptwriter.

For Ji-hoon, romance was a fantasy only experienced through text. It is like countless clichés unfold before his eyes like choices in a script, nothing but someone else’s words.
Still, he loves his youth.

  1. I loved the look! It’s so simple and clean to the eye, VN Koreans tend to have a maximum of two MLs to win over, unlike Japanese people who add more diversity to try to gain more audience. My only reservation in general is that they are usually quite short, but they are well made in general. Keep an eye out when it goes out!

    1. We really need more slice of life romance stories, they just hit differently! I am excited to see how this one pans out, I’ve played a few Korean titles before and I’ve always really liked the stories, so I have high hopes.

Gush about cute otome boys~
