Korean Vampire Otome Game, Phantom of the Twilight Coming Soon to Steam

Korean publisher Lumiere Entertainment Inc. will be releasing the vampire romance otome game, Phantom of the Twilight (황혼의 유령) in English on PC via the Steam platform. With the slew of otome localization announcements that have been coming our way from well known publishers, this lesser known release may have flown under most of our radars. There is no official release date just yet, so be sure to add the game to your wishlist on Steam to catch all updates!

The publisher has released a number of mobile otome titles that are available in English as well. This is also the same team behind Final B Cut.

About Phantom of the Twilight

Step into 19th-century London during a dazzling technological revolution. As Lady Lucy of the Lindere family, you discover a gruesome murder in your estate. The body found in a pool of blood belongs to Mary, a maid who had grown close to you over the years. Shocked by her sudden death, Lucy, accompanied by her loyal butler, Charlie, sets out to find the culprit. Joining them is Detective Aaron, dedicated to solving the case, and Professor Harvey, who is inadvertently drawn into the mystery. Together, they edge closer to uncovering the identity of the murderer, unaware of the merciless truth that lies ahead.

Synopsis

Characters of Phantom of the Twilight

Charlie, Your loyal vampire butler at the Lindere family, (CV. Kim Myung-jun)

Charlie is the epitome of a competent and loyal butler, bound by a blood contract with the Lindere family. Always courteous and logical, he can also be intimidating. However, in Lucy’s presence, his usual demeanor falters, showing his absolute devotion to her.

Aaron Bailey – A cold but kind-hearted detective at the London Metropolitan Police (CV. Seok Seung-hoon)

Aaron Bailey is known for his diligence and strong sense of responsibility. Revered as a guardian of peace, he passionately pursues justice. However, facing a brutal series of murders, he confronts his own limits. Lucy appears as a savior in his turmoil, and he can’t help but grasp her offered hand.

Harvey Ross – An elite professor of criminal psychology at King’s College (CV. Jeong Eui-taek)

Professor Harvey Ross is renowned for his intellect and popularity. Unbeknownst to many, he is a vampire who has abstained from blood for a long time. Despite assisting the police with complex cases, he remains detached from society. That is, until he encounters Lucy’s irresistible blood.

Felix Cole – A patissier crafting sweet desserts (CV. Ryu Seung-gon)

At 721 Laker Street, Felix Cole runs Café Amorce, known for its delicious desserts. As the heir to the Cole family, suppliers to the Lindere family, Felix excels in his craft, constantly creating new desserts. His happiest moments are when Lucy enjoys his creations.

  1. Ooh, this looks really cool! I like Korean otomes, I’ve really missed that Cheritz feeling once they moved onto mobile (I just can’t stand most mobile otome). I don’t know if this will be similar, but I’m very curious what they have to offer!

I always love a butler romance, I’m disappointed whenever there’s a loyal butler who ISN’T a romance option. Absolutely devoted guy? Sign me up! TBH I think otome devs are sleeping on that character type. We need more!

I’m not sure if you played this already, or whether it will be for you, your mileage may vary especially because the translation isn’t, huh, good (it’s even pretty horrible in points), but you may enjoy Dream9/The Cloud Dream of the Nine/Guunmong – Eoneu Sonyeoui Sarang-Iyagi! I played it like a year ago and it absolutely took over my life then.
It’s veeeeery loosely based on a classic Korean novel, only genderswapped, and the protagonist Yang Soyu is one of those main characters who’s gifted and can’t do anything wrong, only she’s about the only example of the trope I genuinely enjoyed. She’s so funny and energetic and I loved her. The tone is all over the place from tongue-in-cheek to genuinely tragic, and it was, all-in-all, an Experience.
It’s also massive (+60 hours on average, I have +80 having seen all extras and played the disappointing DLC) and I was surprised at how much I ended up adoring some of those men. There are a lot of different dynamics and character types on display. 😮
Again, the translation is absolutely wack and it can make or break your enjoyment altogether. If that’s not too much of a problem for you, though, maybe it can help scratch the itch for more Korean otoges!
(also I feel ya re: that Cheritz feel. Nameless in particular chaanged my life. Oo)

… I hope to see more of them as well, especially ones that aren’t on mobile! Hope Phantom of the Twilight can kickstart a trend somehow! And the announcement definitely flew under the radar for me, so thank you Blerdy! ❤

Gush about cute otome boys~
