Over the years I have played through a lot of otome games and seduced a TON of sexy love interests. Some like Variable Barricade’s Taiga are absolute trash… the lowest of the low. While others, like Eisuke Ichinomiya are so perfect, they make you wonder why real men like him never slide into your life.
But, of all the otome winners I have encountered on my otome journey, there is one that left such a lasting impression that I can’t get him out of my head. None other than the incomparable, Toma from the fantasy otome, Amnesia Memories.
Just thinking about him gives me such strong feelings, I felt compelled to share my intense passion for him in writing. Because everyone deserves to know about this simply dazzling specimen of a man. He is a prince, no a KING! They really don’t make otome boys like Toma anymore and it’s a damn shame. Loyal, selfless, dedicated, and just all around a super chill guy. Toma is a template that all otome men should aspire towards.
Where do I even begin, there are just so many wonderful qualities about Toma, I could easily fill several tomes with his great deeds. When he finds the MC passed out in the street he rushes to her aid, taking her to a hospital and caring for her in place of her absentee parents. This man never leaves her side, taking care of all the doctor bills and fielding the questions of the hospital staff. He even goes to her home to pick up essentials to make her hospital stay more comfortable. If that’s not husband material, I don’t know what is!
Then when she is released, he opens his home to her, so that she can take it easy. And as a bonus he removes all outside influences that may disrupt her recovery! We so caught up with our phones and social media that we forget to unplug and experience life. But, don’t worry, Toma is there to make sure you don’t forget about self-care! He cooks, he cleans, he buys nice things. Toma is a true class act.
Toma is a protector at heart, he’ll never let anything harm you. When the MC finds herself at the mercy of some foul bullies, he does the unthinkable—he locks you in a cage. Not for punishment, no, but for protection. And it is a spacious dog cage, truly state of the art craftsmanship, because no expense is too great when your safety is on the line. Of course he realizes that your cozy accommodations might not be enough, so he goes out of his way to buy you only the best plushies to soften up the place.
But, that’s not all! Toma singlehandedly takes out every threat to your safety. He’s not afraid to get his hands a little dirty if it means protecting you from danger. That’s not scary, that’s love. Get you a man that goes to these lengths for you!
His love for you is so all consuming and unwavering, it’s beautiful. He has been in love with you since childhood and he never gave up hope in his one-sided love. This is a man that will never wander, never cheat, and never hurt you. Toma will treat you like a Queen, always. To be loved and cherished that deeply is relationship goals. We all need a man like this in our life. A sweet, compassionate man of action who will never let you go! And that is why Toma is one of my top favorite otome love interests. If you haven’t experienced this man, you simply must. In fact today is a perfect day to fall in love with Toma.
