Hello all you wonderful Heroes and Travelers, it’s been awhile, but…. *drumroll* It’s Thrifty Thursday and that means another Thrifty Gaming, the weekly post series where I spotlight three otome games/visual novels for gamers on a budget. Whatever your financial situation, I’m here to bring you affordable games that won’t break the bank!! All of the games on this list are $10 or less (does not include limited time offers and sale items), so no more weepy wallets!
This week’s post will include links to the games and a brief synopsis, but let me stress that these are not reviews, but recommendations… so your mileage may vary! Now that that’s out of the way lets get on to this week’s list!!
Demon’s Bond is the mobile port of the Idea Factory otome game Toki no Kizuna.
It is the Warring States period in Japan. After the passing of Hideyoshi Toyotomi, many warlords started to watch for a chance to be the next ruler of the land.
In the midst of time where history is changing with the upcoming battle of Sekigahara where the major daimyos split into Eastern and Western Armies, aiming to fight a decisive battle, there were demons who lived in the shadows of history, avoiding human involvement.
Our protagonist is a member of the Ten-Demon Alliance, a coalition of demon clan chieftains. Her duty is to protect Princess Yase, leader of the Ten-Demon Alliance. One day, Princess Yase summons all the Ten-Demon Alliance chieftains across the land. They are delighted at the reunion, but shortly after that, Princess Yase is attacked by forces unknowns. She is greatly weakened and falls into a deep sleep.
The Ten-Demon Alliance chieftains, including the heroine, seek out the perpetrators who attacked the Princess. However, it becomes evident that within comrades which were believed to be tied with a strong bond, there were demons secretly in league with humans violating the commandment which all demons must obey.
The protagonist’s mission: to find a way to rouse the Princess from her slumber, and end demon interference with human affairs. This is the story of the demons who ran through the Warring States period, with the heroine having two missions in her mind.
Demon’s Bond is a pay per route GxB supernatural romance mobile otome game. There are currently a total of five love interests. While the prologue is completely free to play, each of the main stories cost money, main story routes are $4.99 USD. Each route has two distinct endings, a Sweet Ending and a Flashback Ending.

Play as twenty year-old university student Tsubasa Fujimoto as she learns to balance her daily life with her new supernatural one – all while falling in love.
Mystic Destinies is a supernatural, fantasy GxB romance game, with five unique love interests, each with their own self contained stories. Each main story comes with a separate Epilogue story that takes place some time after the events of the main story and can be purchased for $1.99. The game was released over the course of several months, currently all of the love interests’s main stories are available for purchase.
