The Japanese mobile otome games company Voltage Inc. is the latest publisher to jump on the Nintendo Switch bandwagon. Earlier this year the company announced that a few of their mobile Otome Romance titles would be made available on the Nintendo Switch and the first game to make the move is their supernatural romance, Enchanted in the Moonlight. Rather than release one game with all of the characters, the Switch version of the game is split into two titles: Enchanted in the Moonlight: Miyabi, Kyoga, & Samonand Enchanted in the Moonlight: Kiryu, Chikage, & Yukinojoand comprises of all the season 1 to season 3 main stories from the mobile app Love 365.
Enchanted in the Moonlightwas released as a standalone mobile app for Android and IOS back in 2014 and even after the termination of the app in 2018 has experienced a revival as one of the titles on the new Love 365 portal app. In the game you play as a young woman who finds her life turned upside down when she is attacked by malevolent Ayakashi drawn to her unique blood. A group of handsome Ayakashi come to your aid, but there protection comes at a price: they’ll protect you from evil Ayakashi that lust for your blood, but in exchange you must bear their child. With dangerous Ayakashi after your life who will you choose as your defender?
For those of you that don’t know, this is more or less season 2 of the free to play mobile otoge, Liar: Uncover the Truth, featuring a brand new MC and a whole new cast of liars to bust! People have been requesting this game for awhile but, I just have not had the time to commit to a free to play mobile game…and I probably never will…
I’m a bit late with this post, seeing as the app officially launched yesterday (forgive me, I have to get back into the swing of things), but better late than never…
So, Voltage Inc. is following in the footsteps of their Voltage USA branch, by launching another mobile portal app, Love 365: Find Your Story, this time exclusively for their localized titles (ie. Love Letter From Thief X, Code of Love: Era of Samurai, and more). This new app will be the exclusive hub for all of your favorite Voltage Inc titles and the place where the company will release all new stories and apps. Let me repeat that for the folks chatting in the back, all current and future Voltage Inc. titles and stories will be released through the new app, though at this time only a handful of titles have been moved to the new app: Love Letter From Thief X, After School Affairs, and Era of Samurai: Code of Love.
But don’t worry, this switch is not nearly as awful as the infamous Lovestruckdebacale that happened earlier this year. I’m going to do a run down of the Love 365: Find Your Story app and sharing my thoughts on the transition, so let’s get this show on the road!!
Hello all you wonderful Heroes and Travelers, it’s Thrifty Thursday and that means another Thrifty Gamer, the weekly post series where I spotlight three otome games/visual novels for gamers on a budget. Whatever your financial situation, I’m here to bring you affordable games that won’t break the bank!! All of the games on this list are $10 or less (does not include limited time offers and sale items), so no more weepy wallets!
This week’s post will include links to the games and a brief synopsis, but let me stress that these are not reviews, but recommendations… so your mileage may vary! Now that that’s out of the way lets get on to this week’s list!!
Voltage has been teasing us with this game for months and finally their newest app, Irresistible Mistakes is available for download!! In this game the MC has a one night stand with a complete stranger only to discover that her one time bed buddy happens to be one of her co-workers?! Voltage had me at one night stand! I have been so hyped for this game since the first time I saw the PV on Voltage’s official YouTube channel.
Irresistible Mistakes combinesthe office romance premise from games like Office Secrets and Our Two Bedroom Story, with the mature romance of In Your Arms Tonight and Finally in Love Again in order to create something that surpasses all of their other games up to this point!
Blerdy Otome is an otome games and visual novel review site that runs on Black Girl Magic and Dreams. While I mostly focus on romance themed games, I’ve been known to cover a wide range of nerdy and otaku themed topics.
So, step right up and prepare your heart! Let’s talk about otome games!!
