The indie team behind the supernatural mystery visual novel, Red Case Files: Seance Soiree are back to try funding their game on Kickstarter. The team first launched a campaign in November 2024, but it was ultimately unsuccessful, so they’re giving it another go! Red Case Files: Seance Soiree is an episodic supernatural mystery visual novel set in a haunted hotel, populated by psychics and spirits galore! The Kickstarter campaign is set to run until August 31, 2025 with a goal of $20,000 USD.
About Red Clover Case Files
Freshly minted occult auditor John Tsukimori receives a strange invitation to where his like isn’t wanted: the Seance Soirée, an event hosting the biggest stars in spiritualism. Surely it’s some kind of mistake, but John’s free, and his sister, Julia, is out of school for the summer. Who knows? Might be fun…
…Until a real murder disrupts the morbid circus! John must now push past the smoke and mirrors of professional psychics to prove the killer is among them, and not the great beyond.
Time to get to work, Detective.

Key Features in the Game
- As a neo-noir mystery, our game will be bittersweet. There are fates worse than death.
- No shock horror: there are no jump scares, grotesque monsters, or otherwise exploitive depictions of death.
- Instead of gore, blood and guts are replaced with ‘floral coral’.
- A reimagined afterlife: no pearly gates or brimstone. Instead, an underwater dreamscape awaits psychics during the séance.
- Ghosts have identities too: a spirit starts out as Unknown, draped in a sheet with eye holes. Learning their identity will make them Known, revealing their true form.
- Accessibility is at the front of all our decision-making. We are creating with dyslexia, color-blind, screen readers, auto-scrolling and more options for our players.
- Accessibility isn’t just functionality; replacing gore will also appeal to mystery lovers that don’t enjoy horror.
- Mysteries on mysteries: everything’s connected. Everyone is guilty. But who’s the killer?
- Every suspect has a story: our players’ instincts are rewarded with reveals even if they’re wrong about whodunnit.
