MangaGamer announces ADELTA’s BL psychological horror murder-mystery Ooe will be released in English!

Fujin Fam we have some exciting news!! MangaGamer announced that they will be releasing Ooe in English!! Ooe is the latest period psychological horror mystery from ADELTA, developers of Hashihime of the Old Book Town and UUUltraC. A classic closed-circle mystery set on a remote island in 1950s Japan——revel in the intrigue and perverse pleasure of being deceived by the people you trust the most!

A memorial service for the second anniversary of the actress Ann Ooe’s death is being held on Ooejima, a remote island even further from Tokyo than Hachijo-jima. Our protagonist, Osaki, is employed by a detective agency, and he receives a most curious request——to attend the service in the guise of his client.

Tension hangs between the mourners, and it turns out that none of them have so much as seen the event’s host. But things only go from bad to worse when the ferry set to return them to the mainland never shows up… and the guests discover the servant who had been attending them murdered.

Tormented by distrust and paranoia, the mourners search for the murderer only leading to further and further tragedy. The guests must unravel the mysteries of their shared pasts and the untimely death of Ann Ooe in this classic closed circle Showa horror mystery.

All nine mourners are guilty, and they’re all romancable (including the initial murder victim). Each route offers both mystery and romance, and more potential love interests and choices open up as you progress through the routes.

  • A solo project by the multi-talented Rinko Kurosawa, featuring her bold, stylish graphics and gripping artwork and writing!
  • The latest retro-flavor BL psychological horror murder-mystery from indie developer ADELTA
  • Nine potential romantic interests in total——with each route the player completes, more choices and love interests open up and more of the mystery unfolds

    1. RIGHT!! When I got the press release I screamed! I LOVE ADELTA games and I have been hoping for this one in English since it was announced in Japanese!

  1. ABSOLUTELY FREAKING STOKED about the news!!!
… I’m still procrastinating on playing Hashihime because I didn’t want to finish all the games from this studio too fast but, well, you saw me gush about UUUULTRAC enough on here already; it was life-changing to read and still very much lives rent-free in my head. 😀 So good to get more from ADELTA. <333
(localization was probably likely considering MG's track record but still, I remember literally begging for Ooe on last year's localization survey, lol. So even though the new announcement on the otome side is disappointing, that's my year made. ^^ As always thank you Blerdy for being the bearer of amazingly dope news, and enjoy the well-deserved screaming and anticipation!)

  2. (it me, I keep forgetting which email address I originally put in your form and randomly using one or the other… sorry for any resulting confusion ^^; … also I misspelled UuultraC, for absolute shame Oo More enthusiasm = more Us in the name, apparently. :D)

  3. Omg yay!! I feel like I’ve seen people raving about Ooe over the last couple of months, and I’ve been so curious about it! I played through about half of Hashihime a couple years ago and while I really loved the art, characters, and overall story, I felt like it was a bit repetitive and still haven’t finished it (I also lost all my save data, so it’ll probably staying unfinished for a while longer). I haven’t played UuuultraC yet, but Ooe looks beautiful and the story is very intriguing! I’m definitely going to be getting this one when it’s released!

Gush about cute otome boys~
