About Crimson Waves on the Emerald Sea: Amaranthine Moon

In an alternate Victorian world, vampires are part of everyday life. But when an actual cure to vampirism is discovered, not everyone takes too kindly to the disturbance in the status quo…

Determined to make her own destiny as she turns 18, the young head of her family Lucie plunges headfirst in the conniving world of business dealings. Before she’s able to seal the deal on a revolutionary treatment to vampirism, her business partner suddenly dies. Lucie finds herself embroiled in the middle of the mysterious death of her former partner and an event from a decade prior…

Crimson Waves on the Emerald Sea: Amaranthine Moon is the otome standalone sequel to Crimson Waves on the Emerald Sea, a Victorian vampire visual novel previously released in 2021. This visual novel is set around 5 years after the events of the first visual novel, following Lucie as the main character now that she’s an adult.

Characters of Crimson Waves on the Emerald Sea: Amaranthine Moon

Lucie

Our protagonist. She’s stubborn, headstrong, and very blunt. She grew up on the streets with her adoptive brother Nemo until her blood-related uncle found her when she was around 10, bringing her to live as an aristocrat.
While she has no living parents and her only living blood relative (her uncle) is in prison, she’s now the head of her family’s wealthy estate with Nemo as her aid & guardian and has plans to become a wealthy business mogul. She’s ambitious and headstrong to a fault—in the first game, her stubbornness frequently leads her into trouble. She’s mellowed down a bit over the years but only by a bit.

Cecil

Cecil, the naïve baby boy. Cecil has cut off his family for the past 5ish years, living away from them and attending Ambrose’s prestigious school. Now that he is of age, his family want him back home to take over the family business of mining & selling precious gems. But after getting a taste of the real world out of the grasp of his family for so long, would he really go back to them…?

Elm

Elm is detached, quiet, and calculating. He’s Lucie and Cecil’s classmate at their school, having met them there. He’s in a few business courses with them at the behest of his family but is clearly not passionate about it. He seems to have a bigger curiosity for the act of teaching itself. He’s neutral to his family but doesn’t have ambitions to take it over like Rowan, instead letting him handle the business aspects. Although they were close when they were children, he doesn’t appear to like his brother that much.

Rowan

Rowan is determined, confident, snarky and the current head of his family after their father passed suddenly but was always gearing to take up the mantle. He’s headstrong and determined, very confident in who he is and what he wants. Like Lucie, he knows what he wants and has big ambitions for the future. This can be a spot where they relate but also leads to them butting heads at times.
