Seven Seas Licenses The New Recruit Boys’ Love Webtoon Manhwa Series

Seven Seas Entertainment is pleased to announce the license acquisition of the full-color Boys’ Love webtoon/manhwa The New Recruit by MOSCARETO and Zec, for a release in English-language print for the first time. This steamy office romance–from the writer of Punch Drunk Love–inspired the K-drama The New Employee!

Seunghyun spent his 20s following his crush through college and grad school, only to wind up totally single and with no idea where to go in his career. When he manages to land an internship at a competitive marketing company, he’s ready for a fresh start without worrying over unrequited love. Except he’s put under the handsome workaholic Kim Jongchan, whose hot and cold attitude leaves Seunghyun flustered. And worse yet, his crush from school works in the same company too! Will Seunghyun survive his first job and a potential first relationship? Recommended for Mature Audiences.

The New Recruit (Comic) Vol. 1 will be released in October 2024 for $21.99 USA / $28.99 CAN, with the series available in full-color, large-trim editions as part of the Seven Seas Webtoons label.

  1. It’s funny that Seven Seas and a manga publisher here licenses almost the same mangas and manhwas xD
This manhwa is licensed here. It’ll be released tho, but they made an announcement already.

    1. So it’s funny you bring that up, I believe there is another publisher releasing the novel digitally here too.

But, I wonder how Seven Seas is gonna work around an already published series… and what differences there will be. 🤔

Gush about cute otome boys~
