Indie dev, Wholesome Wraith (Purple Herring Games) recently launched the Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming otome/boys love visual novel, My Alien Roommate! In addition to the Kickstarter campaign, the team released a new extended demo with even more content. My Alien Roommate is a story-driven romance visual novel about having an alien roommate who you try to keep secret from the rest of the world.

Story

When an alien boy named Enoch lands on Riley’s balcony one uneventful Sunday night, Riley’s world is instantly turned upside-down.

Play as protagonist Riley (name and pronouns changeable) and navigate the complicated maze of academics, friendships and rivalries that is high school, all while trying to keep the biggest secret in the entire world under wraps: the existence of your alien roommate.

Can you keep him a secret from everyone, including your closest friends? Why did he come to Earth in the first place? And why does the new substitute teacher have such a peculiar interest in him?

Characters

Pursue three male Love Interests in this romantic BxB/GxB visual novel: the socially-anxious childhood friend Lucas, the intelligent but arrogant “Class President” Felix Yang, or last but not least, the ~~man~~ alien of the hour himself, Enoch.

Lucas, one of Riley’s best friends since childhood and Love Interest #2! Others think Lucas cold or distant because he struggles with social anxiety, but his friends know him as loyal, soft-at-heart, and always up for a good game of basketball.

“Class President” Felix Yang, Riley’s biggest academic rival and Love Interest #3! Resident Teacher’s Pet Felix is dedicated, studious – and not very friendly. With seemingly no priorities besides his studies, his arrogance puts him at odds with Riley many a time. And yet outside school, his appearance and personality seem to change completely…

Enoch, the titular “Alien Roommate” and Love Interest #1! A sweet but oblivious alien refugee seeking new life on Earth, Enoch is no vicious Xenomorph, and more the E.T./Lilo and Stitch-type of lovable alien.
