Eye Can See You is an indie otome horror game that follows a girl with psychic abilities that allows her to see spirits. As she enters a new school, she finds spirits residing in her school and makes it her goal to help them fulfill their deeds. But there is evil lurking in the shadows with its own agenda. This is the first project from indie studio Gongon Studios for Otome Jam 2022!

Games I’m Most Excited About From Wholesome Games Direct 2022

The Wholesome Direct 2022 showcase dropped this past weekend and with it a whole host of upcoming indie games! Moonchime Studios teams up with Poni-Pachet for a Haunted Obachestra English Localization Kickstarter

Hey Hey Blerdy Tribe, I have some amazing joseimuke news hot off the presses!! Moonchime Studios is pleased to announce a collaboration with the Japanese publisher Poni-Pachet to bring their latest project to English-speaking audiences, this project is Haunted Obachestra!

Poni-Pachet will publish the game and Moonchime Studios will localize it and be directly involved in the Kickstarter campaign management and other publishing efforts. Our friends at Poni-Pachet hope that this will help them connect with the community outside of Japan.

Haunted Obachestra is a fully-voiced joseimuke adventure for everyone, and will be made available for PC. The focus is on creating an immersive experience for the players by centering them in the story as the human protagonist, with options to select a gender and change the name. Music is a pivotal aspect of this multimedia project, and each song is crafted to reflect the characters and enhance the story.

Infinite Blue Demo – First Impressions

Indie studio Velvet Fox Games just dropped the demo for their instant messenger otome game, Infinite Blue. In the game, you as the player, along with six strangers, have a messenger app mysteriously downloaded onto your phones. In the course of 10 real-time days, you will have the opportunity to grow close to these strangers, chat with them on the messenger, and learn why the app was installed. The lovely Velvet Fox team was kind enough to give me an early look at the demo before the official release and I am excited to share my thoughts!

Validate: Struggling Singles in Your Area – First Impressions

ValiDate: Struggling Singles in Your Area is a romantic visual novel about 13 adults in Jercy City navigating new relationships and the harsh realities that come alongside them. I’ve talked about this game a few times; Veritable Joy’s dedication to including authentic BIPOC and LGBTQ+ representation in Validate definitely caught my attention. So, I am super happy that the team gave me a sneak peek at the demo before its public debut!

Nanoreno 2022 Games You Should Play

Hey Blerdy Tribe, NaNoRenO 2022 has come and gone and this year there were a total of 185 submissions! For those of you not familiar with NaNoRenO, its an annual month-long game jam held from early March to early April, in which developers are challenged to make a visual novel from start to finish. Each year newbie and veteran devs alike put their skills to the test to create their own unique projects–and over the years I have seen some phenomenal games come out of the jam! There are a ton of phenomenal games to play, and I definitely recommend searching through them all when you have the chance–but for today’s post I’ve compiled a list of the games that caught my eye from among the NaNoRenO 2022 submissions!

Hey Blerdy Tribe, it’s another wonderful otome release day! This time around we are celebrating the release of 2022’s most anticipated otome game, Variable Barricade! Wealthy heiress, Hibari Tojo absolutely does not want to get married. But, fate has other plans for her when her eccentric grandfather saddles her with four handsome (and problematic) suitor. Her beaus include, a walking debt generator, a suspected gambling addict, a kept-man, and a man alleged to have participated in marriage fraudone has to wonder what her grandfather is thinking?!
