Chinese developer, Seed Sparkle Lab, has announced their anime-inspired life and farming sim, Starsand Island, will launch into Steam Early Access and Xbox Preview on February 11th.
Following the early access period, which will be used to finalise the comprehensive content and finesse the end-game experience for players, Starsand Island will fully launch on Steam (including Steam Deck), Xbox Series consoles, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2 in the summer of 2026, alongside the official release of its multiplayer mode.
Set on a relaxing island, far from the hustle and bustle of big city life, Starsand Island sees the player’s character return to their childhood home on a journey of personal healing. Along the way, they’ll master a series of skills including farming and fishing; make new friends and relationships with islanders; and explore every part of the peaceful paradise – including mysterious ruins inhabited by incredible creatures – on foot or on a selection of vehicles, from roller blades through to hoverboards, cars, and motorbike with sidecar!
They’ll also be able to build the home of their dreams down to every photo frame with Starsand Island’s intricate and extensive DIY and construction system, and invite friends to help craft their paradise together. Once their ideal house has been built – whether that’s a grand manor, mid-century bungalow, quaint cottage, or any other design they have in mind – players will be able to decorate and furnish the interior and exterior with a range of decor.
Two Exclusive Early Access Editions
At launch, Starsand Island will be offered in two editions. The Standard Edition includes the base game and all Early Access content. Players who purchase during the launch period will also receive an exclusive Chinese New Year bonus, featuring festive outfits inspired by traditional Chinese patterns and furniture. This bonus includes rich decorative details that highlight the elegance and charm of Chinese design.
For those seeking more customization options, the Deluxe Edition includes everything found in the Standard Edition, alongside additional content inspired by Romanticism. This edition features refined, classical outfits and fantasy-inspired furniture, offering a more decorative and expressive island life experience from the very beginning.

According to the development team, the Early Access version will allow players to experience most of the game’s content, offering over 100 hours of gameplay and covering major activities and gameplays such as Ranching, Farming, Exploration, Fishing and Crafting, providing a complete and richly layered life-simulation experience.
