From September 27-30, the annual conference will showcase voices of color in the games industry
The 2023 Game Devs of Color Expo begins its eighth annual online event this Wednesday, September 27, featuring discussions, panels, interviews, and game announcements from creators of color in the games industry.
The event kicks off at 11 a.m. EDT with a commencement from the organizing team, as well as hosts DaPurpleSharpie and Josh Boykin. At 1 p.m. EDT, the GDoCExpo Direct, an exhibition of more than 25 new game announcements from creators of color, will be broadcast on the GDoCExpo YouTube and Twitch channels. Also returning this year is the Game Devs of Color Expo Steam Sale, featuring game demos and discounts until September 30. The 2023 GDoCExpo will conclude that Saturday with a closing ceremony where two grants – The Game Devs of Color Expo “Made in NY” Grant and The Game Devs of Color Expo Grant, sponsored by Humble Bundle – will be awarded.
