Hello all you wonderful Heroes and Travelers, it’s been awhile, since the last post (I’ll do better) But,It’s Thrifty Thursday and that means another Thrifty Gaming post, the weekly post series where I spotlight three games/visual novels for gamers on a budget. Whatever your financial situation, I’m here to bring you affordable games that won’t break the bank!! All of the games on this list are $10 or less (does not include limited time offers and sale items), so no more weepy wallets!
This week’s post will include links to the games and a brief synopsis, but let me stress that these are not reviews, but recommendations… so your mileage may vary! Now that that’s out of the way lets get on to this week’s list!!
Three strangers are thrust into an unexpected situation together—they awaken only to find themselves on a spaceship called the Blossom.
A mysterious journey lies ahead of them; what misadventures will they experience over the next two weeks?
Blossoms Bloom Brightest is a sci-fi Yuri visual novel and Reine Work’s debut title. The game was developed for Yuri Jam 2016 and was completed in just one month. Blossoms Bloom Brightest consists of approximately 2-3 hours of gameplay, with 2 routes (2 endings per route for a total of 4 endings). The game also features partial voice acting!
You wake up in a different world.
You have until nighttime to escape.
Why are you here?
You’ve forgotten something important. But what?
Remember – before it’s too late, and you’re lost forever.
You Left Me is a short surrealist visual novel about loneliness and loss. *There are some references to suicide and death, so caution if you are sensitive to those subjects.* The game is short with each playthrough lasting anywhere between 5 minutes and 30 minutes, and there are a total of 5 endings to unlock.
With luck, you secured yourself a part-time job. With time, you might get more than you bargained for.
Belong is the debut title of Aflutter Studios a one person indie game developer. The game features a customizable protagonist: select your gender pronouns (he, she, they) and also choose from six distinct personality types (Adamant, Worrywort, Flippant, Selfish, Sarcastic, and Two-Faced), to craft your own unique gaming adventure. There are three romance options to choose from (2 male, 1 female), each with their endings and choices.
That’s it for this week’s thrifty buys, but, don’t worry I’ll have more titles for in next week’s post, so be on the look out for that next Thursday! But, if all that extra money you saved is burning a hole in your pocket and you just can’t wait for next week’s list, definitely check out some of my previous Thrifty Gaming posts, there are tons of games for gamers who like me are ballin’ on a budget!
