In the wake of KFC’s I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator announcement the internet is abuzz with delight at the prospect of dating the fast food chain’s chicken loving mascot. The concept is the brain child of UK based studio Psyop, and promises a unique gaming experience full of cooking battles, delicious finger lickin’ chicken recipes, and of course the chance to romance the Colonel himself.
While most of the internet is eagerly awaiting the latest parody dating sim, some in the otome community are worried the upcoming game will do more harm than good to an already niche genre. I’m always down for a good laugh, so I’ll probably check I Love You, Colonel Sanders! out when it’s released on September 24th on Steam.
However, this isn’t the first dating sim parody game (and it most likely won’t be the last). There are quite a few dating sims out there that are sure to have a few people scratching their heads, so of course I did what any sane person would do and compiled a few of them into a list… Your welcome.

TGIF Heroes and Travelers, it’s Friday and that means it’s time for another Fangirl Moment, the series of posts where I spotlight media I think you guys should check out! This week I’m covering a Korean webcomic I discovered a little while ago, Roommates (aka Can’t Confess) by Seok Young, translated by Han. This is a fun comic about two friends that secretly harbor feelings for one another, things only get a bit more complicated when they suddenly become roommates… It’s just as awkward and hilarious as you’d imagine!
The series was originally published digitally by Mr. Blue back in 2015, but was eventually picked up by Spottoon.com for an English language release. This is a paid release, but you can read the first five chapters for free and by creating an account with the site you can also earn keys that will unlock additional episodes for free. Spottoon also has weekly/monthly free episode rotations, so if you plan accordingly, you can read the whole thing for free.
If you aren’t in the mood for BL, I highly recommend checking out one of my other Fangirl Moment posts (there are a ton to choose from) by clicking right, HERE, I cover a range of topics so I’m sure you’ll find something worthwhile over there!! For everyone else, let’s get this show on the road shall we?

Insatiable Creatures is a short comedy, suspense kinetic novel created by PB & Jelly for the one month gamejam, NaNoRenO 2017. This is a free game and is playable on Windows and Mac operating systems. The game is roughly 15 minutes long, with two main characters and features full English voice acting.
Insatiable Creatures tells the story of a TA, Lucas who is asked to investigate the site where four high school students mysteriously vanished. He reluctantly takes on the task, but what he finds is a bit more than he bargained for…
*If you wish to download the game, do so, HERE!*
Since developers only have a month to create these games, I will be a bit more forgiving of these titles’s shortcomings, however, that doesn’t mean I won’t give you guys my honest opinion in each review.

Hey hey guys I’m back with yet another Kickstarter campaign! This time around, I’m spotlighting GB Patch’s upcoming comedy dating sim, XOXO Droplets. I have been following this game for awhile, but in order to reach a larger audience GB Patch wants to create a free to play version of the game, so, they created this KS campaign to help raise funds.
This game is in the final stages of development and the fact that GB Patch is willing to release both a free and paid version of the game is awesome!

Since today is Election Day here in the good old U.S. of A, I decided to bring you all a very special Kickstarter Campaign to get you all in the political mood! I will admit that when I saw this campaign last week, I thought they were pulling my leg, but to my surprise the whole thing is legit! So on this very special Election Day, I bring you the Kickstarter Campaign for Robert W. Amster’s political satire dating sim, Grand Old Academy!
Yes, ya’ll, a visual novel that lets you date the 2016 Republican Presidential Candidates! Oddly enough, this is one of those things I never thought I needed, but now that it’s here I can’t imagine my life with out it! I only have one question… okay well two…
- Why has no one tried to do something like this before?
- Will there be a sequel for the Democratic Presidential Candidates?
But, I think I’m getting ahead of myself a bit… Grand Old Academy will be a free to play PC dating sim, but they still need your help to get the ball rolling!
