Supernatural Romance, Burn the Midnight Oil is Live on Kickstarter

Solve crimes and steal hearts in the neo-noir supernatural romance visual novel, Burn the Midnight Oil. Indie studio, Foxglove Games, the team behind the rom-com Trouble Comes Twice has launched a Kickstarter campaign for, Burn the Midnight Oil alongside an early demo! The Kickstarter campaign is set to run until April 22, 2026 with a funding goal of $98,153 USD!

A supernatural neon-noir romance visual novel about monsters, love, and other horrors. Solve crimes, uncover dangerous secrets, and steal (or break) some hearts.

It’s the 80s. Supernaturals flock to the neon-soaked streets of North Haven, where they hide in plain sight amongst the ceaseless nightlife. Playing as the flirtatious vampire detective Circe or the brash hellhound cop Dante, you must solve cases that threaten to unveil dangerous secrets from our protagonists’ own pasts.

When the night draws to an end, it will be up to you and the choices you make whether Circe and Dante resist (or embrace) the darkness within their own hearts.

The Leads

Like their previous game, Burn the Midnight Oil has dual protagonists! Investigate murders and vampire conspiracies with Circe, or hunt down the source of a dangerous new magic drug with Dante

The Romance Options

Each route focuses on one of the six love interests. Abraxas, Edgar, and Nocturne are only available to Circe while Iridis, Raoul, and Zeno are only available to Dante.
