Indie developers Lovely Inc.—the team behind office romance, My Love for You is Evermore—just launched a Kickstarter campaign for their nostalgic, 90’s shoujo inspired otome, Snowkissed Romance. This is meant to be a complete reboot of the team’s first game, with updated writing, art, and the inclusion of English voice acting.
Fans of 90s shoujo manga and anime—think Sailor Moon, Marmalade Boy, and Cardcaptor Sakura—will find plenty of nostalgic charm in Snowkissed Romance, an otome game blending romance, time and stat management, and heartfelt storytelling. Developed by a passionate two-woman team, Snowkissed Romance is now live on Kickstarter, complete with a free demo on itch.io, where you can experience the first three days of the three-week vacation in Yukihari. The campaign is set to run until Feburary 19, 2025 with a funding goal of $55,000 USD.

It’s winter break 1994-1995; you arrive in the enchanted ski town of Yukihari for your last winter break before college, expecting nothing more than a peaceful holiday at your aunt’s cozy resort. That is, until your older brother crashes with your childhood friends from years past! Old friendships, budding romance, and hidden emotions soon turn this simple getaway into a life-changing journey of self-discovery.
Snowkissed Romance—a nostalgic love story set in the mid-1990s at a ski resort in northern Japan. Drawing inspiration from beloved Japan-exclusive otome classics of that era, including Angelique and the Tokimeki Memorial series, Snowkissed Romance weaves addictive stat-building, day planning, and mini-games with captivating storytelling and a wealth of romance paths and endings.
Yukihari is a charming ski town nestled in the mountains of Northern Japan. Here your journey takes place during your final winter break before college staying in the town’s premier resort, The Powdered Lodge. What starts as a relaxing holiday soon becomes an emotional journey when you reunite with your brother and his three college roommates—childhood friends who moved away years ago—alongside some new faces. Players can immerse themselves in a heartwarming slice-of-life romance with emotional depth, meaningful choices, and engaging stat-building mechanics.

Each location has unique stat boosts and secrets to uncover.
