Fangirl Moment: Personal Preference

TGIF! Here we are again with another Fangirl Friday! This week I’m shifting gears a lot, instead of the usual, I’m going to cover something I’ve been meaning to write about for a while now…K-drama! Leafy suggested I write about K-dramas back when I first started blogging, but I never really got around to it…So this one is for you Leafy! 😀

I adore K-dramas, especially romantic comedies, they are just so funny and so over the top you can’t help but love them! So this week I’m going to cover one of my absolute favorite K-dramas, Personal Preference (aka Personal Taste). This drama follows Park Gae-in (Son Ye-jin), a down on her luck furniture designer, who has just been dumped by her long time boyfriend, Han Chang-ryul (a prick if you ask me). But, she doesn’t have time to mope, because her best friend, Kim In-hee, is getting married and has invited her to the ceremony. When she arrives to her horror she discovers that the groom is none other than her Ex!

While Gae-in is moping, elsewhere in South Korea, Jeon Jin-ho (played by the delicious Lee Min-Ho) is trying to keep his small architectural firm afloat by entering a bid for a project in the Dam Art Center. His biggest competition is the Future Construction, which is headed by the father of Chang-ryul. So in order to gain favor with the director of the project, Jin-ho starts looking for info about the director. He finds one name Sangojae, an architectural wonder created by legendary architect, Park Chul-han, who closed the place off to the public after the death of his wife. His daughter (Gae-in) now lives there alone, so Jin-ho comes up with a plan to sneak into Sangojae, by pretending to be gay so that Gae-in will take him in as a roommate. The plan works and the unlikely pair are forced to live together…Is this the beginning of an unlikely love affair?
