We all have them, that one character that we just can’t stand! The character that pisses you off ever single time they show up on screen. Maybe they are the antagonist that always seems to get in the way of the hero, maybe they’re one the protagonist’s allies, or maybe they’re the protagonist of the series. Whoever they are, you can be sure that just seeing them is enough to get your blood boiling…
This was actually a pretty easy prompt to write for… I’m starting to sense a pattern with this Challenge, the posts about things I dislike are much easier to write than the posts about things I like…
This is yet another list, when I started writing this post I realized that I disliked these characters equally. So rather than picking one over the other, I decided to share them all!
Number 3: Sae Kashiwagi from Peach Girl
Sae is the main antagonist of the 2005 anime series, Peach Girl and one of the worst characters I have had the displeasure of watching in an anime. Sae is the embodiment of everything that I hated about middle school and to a lesser extent high school… catty, conniving, two faced girls! Ugh, her main purpose in life was to make Momo’s life as miserable as humanly possible. She’s the kind of girl that uses her looks to get what she wants, be it a cute purse or someone else’s man… Nothing stands in the way of this girl when she sets her sights on something…
Number 2: Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto
This one is kind of funny really, but I’ve never liked Sasuke… he was just too perfect. I know how weird that sounds, seeing as I chose his brother Itachi as the subject of my Favorite Male Supporting Anime Character post, but hear me out first. Naruto is the main character of the series, I mean come on his name is the frickin title… So tell me why is it that we spend so much time on Sasuke? So much of Naruto is about Sasuke it’s a wonder Kishimoto didn’t just change the title of the series to Sasuke!
Number 1: Orihime Inoue from Bleach
Ah, Orihime… where do I begin with Orihime? Like Sasuke, I disliked this girl from the beginning! She was just so annoying…and useless. I wouldn’t have had a problem with her if she had a real power like Rukia, but no…nooooooooo… they had to give her the power of protection! Really? Protection… it’s because she’s a girl right? To make matters worse she’s a potential love interest for the protagonist, Ichigo. I’m sure she’s probably gotten better over the course of the story, but at this point her rep with me is beyond repair…
