So when Voltage”cancelled” Scandal in the Spotlight a few months ago, there was a bit of fan backlash, I mean really, who doesn’t want to date an entire Japanese boy band? So, imagine my surprise when I saw the announcement that Voltage was planning on bringing the app back from the dead!! That almost never happens, when Voltage kills an app that’s it, or at the very least it takes years for them revive it *cough* LOVE LETTER FROM THIEF X *cough* Anyway, so to hype fans up for the revival, Voltage is offering Kyohei Rikudoh’s Main Story, in it’s entirety for FREE until Feb. 2nd! Of course I’d already bought the story ages ago, so this promotion is completely lost on me, but hey, folks should definitely take part in this promotion…it’s not every day Voltage gives a story away for free…
I’m not gonna lie, when I first saw Kyo, I thought he’d be an arrogant, selfish prick, like all of guys Voltage has a tendency to force on us during their initial app releases… But, Kyohei Rikudoh was nothing like that, in fact Kyo is one of the sweetest Voltage guys out there…
**Disclaimer: This is a SPOILER FREE review, but if you don’t trust my word or you like being surprised, I also wrote a general full game review for Scandal in the Spotlight, HERE! I DO NOT own any of the images used in this review, ALL images, screenshots, and characters belong to Voltage Inc. Please if you are interested in the game, download it for free in the App Store or from Google Play and purchase the stories when they are available in your area.
I know I said that Keiichiro’s route would be the last one I played in Bad Boys Do It Better, but then that last Voltage Sale happened and I wound up buying Yu’s main story. I still refuse to buy Akira’s route, I just can’t bring myself to spend money on it, even during a sale, but I couldn’t have been more pleased with Yu’s main story!
It didn’t take long for me to fall for Yu, he’s like a sweet puppy, you just want to hold him close and pat his head. Too bad he isn’t interested in romance… Is there room in this basketball idiot’s heart for both you and basketball or will your first love end in heartbreak?

This post has been a work in progress for over a year, but I could never quite work out how write it out, until the other day when I went to play a game in my backlog and I actually groaned… can you believe that?!
Lately, I’ve been so caught up with all the schedules and reviews, that I’ve kind of lost sight of why I started this blog in the first place: because I love otome games and I want to share that love with the world. Ha ha, it sounds silly when I write it out like that, but it’s been a long time since I really, truly enjoyed playing a game. It’s gotten to be such a chore really, buying games, playing them, writing the reviews, editing… somewhere along the way, playing otome games became a routine… *shudders* it became work and that’s something I never wanted to happen! Sure there have been games that I genuinely liked playing, in fact I played a game the other day that brought back a little of that old spark, but the magic that I had when I first started playing otome games has been gone for a little while now. So, it’s high time I reminded myself why I fell in love with otome games in the first place, before I wind up resenting them altogether.
Let me warn you guys now, this post is more for me than it is for you guys, I really needed to remember what it was that drew me to otoges. So this won’t be one of those pretty posts that I fuss over endlessly until the wording is just right and expect a lot of “…” so if you’re still with me, I want to write about how I got into otome games…
When I first saw that Voltage had skipped the sexy doc’s route I was pissed, I have been waiting for a new route to be released since I finished Arimura’s. So, imagine my surprise when I saw that Voltage decided to release Asuka Hino’s route first!
Asuka Hino was so different from what I imagined, I had this image of him in my head before I started this route and he turned it right on its head… in a good way. I never expected to like this route as much as I did, in fact I was actually thinking of skipping it all together, I’m not really into the whole younger guy thing, but I’m so glad I didn’t! If you want a general overview of Dangerous Seduction, click HERE, it’s covers the basic premise of the game and includes links to the other character reviews I wrote for the game.

First, I’m baaaaack! Well, sort of… this is one of the two year end posts I told you all I’d be writing, I’m just posting it a day early since I’ll be on a plane back to DC on the 30th…
A little while ago, my dear friend Leafy asked me if I planned on doing a top games list for 2016 and at the time I gave her what I thought was a pretty solid, Nah… I’m terrible with lists and schedules so I go out of my way to avoid them when I can. But, as we got closer to the end of the year I found myself thinking about all the games I’d played throughout the year; the good, the bad, and the meh titles and before I knew it this post kind of wrote itself! So here I am, a few days before the start of a new year running through my favorite games of 2016…
Now, I will say this in advanced, not all of these games were released in 2016, most were, but there are a few titles that were released prior to this year… Also, I am not including the Voltage games I played (save Liar), because I plan on doing a separate list for that. Finally, before ya’ll start grabbing your torches and pitchforks because your favorite game isn’t on the list, or you don’t agree with my picks, remember this is my list, if you have suggestions feel free to tell me about them in the comments section (I am always open to game suggestions)! *claps hands* Let’s get this show on the road!!
