TGIF! Here we are again with another Fangirl Friday! So I have a confession to make, I had a really hard time coming up with a topic for this week’s Fangirl Moment post. There was so much going on with school that I almost cancelled this week’s post altogether…but then it came to me…K-drama…I could write about another K-drama. So here we are covering another one of my favorite K-dramas: Lie to Me!
The show follows a civil servant, Gong Ah-jung (played by Yoon Eun-hye), who works in the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. One day at the hairdresser’s she runs into her high school frenemy, who brags about her perfect life and husband. Not wanting to be shown up, Ah-jung lies and says that she too is happily married to an amazingly handsome and rich man. But the little white lie takes on a life of its own, spreading beyond Ah-jung and her friends to the world of elite businessmen. Soon everyone seems to think that Ah-jung is the wife of a prominent young hotel owner, Hyun Ki-joon (played by
the dreamy Kang Ji-hwan).

TGIF! Here we are again with another Fangirl Friday! This week I’m shifting gears a lot, instead of the usual, I’m going to cover something I’ve been meaning to write about for a while now…K-drama! Leafy suggested I write about K-dramas back when I first started blogging, but I never really got around to it…So this one is for you Leafy! 😀
I adore K-dramas, especially romantic comedies, they are just so funny and so over the top you can’t help but love them! So this week I’m going to cover one of my absolute favorite K-dramas, Personal Preference (aka Personal Taste). This drama follows Park Gae-in (Son Ye-jin), a down on her luck furniture designer, who has just been dumped by her long time boyfriend, Han Chang-ryul (a prick if you ask me). But, she doesn’t have time to mope, because her best friend, Kim In-hee, is getting married and has invited her to the ceremony. When she arrives to her horror she discovers that the groom is none other than her Ex!
While Gae-in is moping, elsewhere in South Korea, Jeon Jin-ho (played by the delicious Lee Min-Ho) is trying to keep his small architectural firm afloat by entering a bid for a project in the Dam Art Center. His biggest competition is the Future Construction, which is headed by the father of Chang-ryul. So in order to gain favor with the director of the project, Jin-ho starts looking for info about the director. He finds one name Sangojae, an architectural wonder created by legendary architect, Park Chul-han, who closed the place off to the public after the death of his wife. His daughter (Gae-in) now lives there alone, so Jin-ho comes up with a plan to sneak into Sangojae, by pretending to be gay so that Gae-in will take him in as a roommate. The plan works and the unlikely pair are forced to live together…Is this the beginning of an unlikely love affair?

So I kinda wanna make this a regular thing, I know this wasn’t in the Plans and Schemes post, but in my defense I did say I’d add things without warning, so cut me some slack…please?
Schoolwork is kind of at an all time high, so I really haven’t had the time to write any of the reviews that I have in my drafts. I’ll get to them, but my data coding project took a whole hell of a lot more time than I anticipated. I spent three hours trying to figure out how to recode an entire country’s GSHS dataset in Excel (believe me it’s harder than I’m making it sound). In the end I figured it out and recoding the other datasets were a breeze.
Which is why I kind of lost track of time and the reason this post is coming out on a Sunday instead of Saturday like I would have hoped… But that’s neither here nor there, I just wanna give a recap of the weeks events and posts….and some of the posts from some of the blogs I follow that I really liked.
