The Monster of Memory: Destiny BL Game Review

The Monster of Memory is a Taiwanese visual novel developed by Tong Li Publishing Co. and adaptation from an as of yet unlicensed manga series of the same name. After a tragic accident claims the life of his older brother, Sumi applies for an experimental project that promises to bring him back through the use of AI technology. While initially hesitant, Sumi eventually agrees to take the AI named RE614 into his home, but while it looks and acts like his deceased older brother at it’s core it is still just a machine. What kind of impact will RE614 have on Sumi and his family? Will it help Sumi finally learn to live with his grief?

First Impressions: Doki Doki Dollmaker BL Game Demo Review + KS Campaign

Doki Doki Dollmaker is an upcoming slice-of-life comedy boys love game developed by Karitsa, with art by Deji (who I LOVE). In the game you play as a Lyle, a young man still coming to terms with the loss of his parents. To help cope with his grief, Lyle makes five dolls who through a little magic, suddenly come to life—so it’s basically a BL version of Nameless the one name you must recall.

A Kickstarter campaign for the game was launched a short while ago and to go along with that a short demo was released! This is going to be a commercial release and the final version of the game will be $20. I was curious about the concept and I gave the demo a go and it’s super cute!  So here are my thoughts on the demo!!

Togainu no Chi~Lost Blood~ BL Game Review – Finding Love in a Hopeless Place

Say what you will about Nitro+Chiral and their games, but beneath all the angst, leather, and dubious consent are some pretty introspective stories. Sure, their games tend to be on the darker and edgier side of things, taking readers to some less than savory places, but when it really gets down to it there is always an underlying message that serves as the lifeblood of their stories. In Sweet Pool the story explores the inevitability of fate and the difference between being pulled along by forces beyond your control or embracing your lot in life. While Dramatical Murder takes a few notes from Freud in its exploration of the human psyche…among other things… So, going into Togainu no Chi I was prepared for a dark, yet thought provoking story… and let’s see if it lived up to expectations.
