So, Voltage Inc. just put out a new free to play mobile app, Liar: Uncover the Truth, which is a cross between their previous titles, My Forged Wedding and True Love Sweet Lies wrapped in a Phoenix Wright bun. To be honest I’m not a huge fan of freemium games and apps, so I was planning to pass this game up, but like always curiosity got the better of me and here I am once again entangled in Voltage’s romantic snare. I know I am on break, but I couldn’t resist posting this review… *shrugs* I really didn’t expect to fall in love with this game!
This is like Mystic Messenger 2.0, Liar uses some of the same interfaces and techniques that made MM so popular, without the real time aspect…and it works!Snoop through your lover’s social media pages, and press him for info to uncover the truth, is your man a liar or is he telling the truth?
**Disclaimer: I DO NOT own any of the images used in this review, ALL images, screenshots, and characters belong to Voltage Inc. Please if you are interested in the game, download the game for free in the App Store or from Google Play and purchase the stories when they are available in your area.**

Alternative Title: Bomb Decision (Japan)
So I came across this game back in 2013, I remember all the hype surrounding it, but at the time I didn’t have a PSP, so I wasn’t able to join in the first wave of players. I then was able to gain access to a PSP and a copy of the game and I absolutely loved it! While it is billed as an otoge, Sweet Fuse plays more like a adventure, puzzle visual novel than your typical romance visual novel. So when it went on sale in the PSN store I immediately went out and bought a copy of the game for myself.
The first route of the game that I played was Subaru Shidou, because I don’t know if I mentioned this before…but I have a thing for megane men. Plus he’s gorgeous, the typical otoge hottie and that suit…sexy!

So, because Voltage is putting out new games and stories faster than I can play them all, my backlog is extremely long right now. Every time I tackle a game, Voltage puts out another one, so finding the time to play them all has been hard to do. However, I did manage to find the time to play through a few games, this was one of those games.
A little over a year ago, Voltage released the English language version of My Wedding and the 7 Rings a spin-off of the extremely popular, My Forged Wedding (MFW). The new game takes place in the same universe as the MFW series, and even features two of the love interests from the previous game, with a slightly modified back story. So, I’m playing this game along with three other bloggers, as part of a gaming group. We’re supposed to have the game done by May 1st, so this is more of an introduction of sorts to the game.
Starry Sky is a series of Japanese PC otome games (has since ported to PSP) developed by software company Honeybee. Starry Sky~ in Spring~ released in 2009, is the first game in the series, which centers around Tsukiko Yahisa (name changeable), the first female student to attend Seigetsu Academy. Each game features three love interests, in Spring the three love interests are Yoh Tomoe, Kanata Nanami, and Suzuya Tohzuki. Each love interest has a personality modeled after western zodiac signs. The game was followed by a spin-off sequel, Starry Sky~After Spring~, which takes place between the events of the main game and the epilogue.
Currently the game is not available in English, but there is a free full English patch for the PC version of the game. In order to use the patch, you have to purchase the actual game either on Amazon or elsewhere and then patch the game directly. It’s a process but if it means supporting the game, it’s worth the trouble. Fellow blogger, Cat has written a review of the PSP version of the game.

So I finally got around to finishing my first route in Amnesia: Memories! Yay! *throws confetti* As always, I’m a few months behind the rest of the otoge community, but I can live with that. I took my time playing this one, and I’m kinda glad I did…there was a lot going on with this game. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the game, it was fun, but there were some things that I had problems with.
So I decided to play Shin’s route first, because he happens to be on all the promotional art, and he looked cute. Usually I’d go for the megane hottie Kent first, but something told me that it would be in my best interest to play Shin’s route first…and I’ll have to let you know in a later post if that was the right decision.

So with all the hype surrounding the newer Voltage Inc games, the older games aren’t getting as much attention. By older I mean those hidden gems that don’t appear on the Voltage Visual Romance Apps Facebook page, nor do they have fancy gifs on their Tumblr. No these unsung heroes are the forgotten foundation of the Voltage empire, and for many the start a long-term love affair with 2D pixel men…So I just wanted to throw a small spotlight on an older game by writing about my first ever otome A Knights Devotion. Yes, scoff if you want to, Voltage was my first introduction to the otome genre three years ago, and I haven’t look back since! I still remember playing it under the register at my barista job…*sigh* memories.

For the holidays, Voltage Inc is having a SALE on all Be My Princess (BMP) stories and they just released a new time travel sub story for Be My Princess 2 (BMP 2)!! That means that for a limited time old Voltage fans and new Voltage fans can enjoy the splendor and perfection that is Be My Princess, for a discounted price. Many die hard Voltage fans may have already purchased all of the stories available, but for those of you who have been hesitant to play some of the older games or are new to the fandom, this is a great opportunity to give the princes of BMP and BMP 2 a try.

So as many of you may know Astoria: Fate’s Kiss is the sequel/ second season of Labyrinths of Astoria…
Now that Season 1 has come to a close, in preparation for our second season, we’d like to announce a name change, from “Labyrinths of Astoria” to “Astoria: Fate’s Kiss”! Love can be like like a labyrinth – first, you have to fight your way through challenges to be with the one you love! So then, the next stage is up to fate! (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧
I am so hyped and I’ve only played the prologue! Let me start off by praising Astoria and Voltage for including POC, and for those who don’t know that is “People of Color“, as characters in the game! It is refreshing to see characters of all shades and hues as side characters and main characters! I mean holy Hera, even Zeus, the king of the gods is black…and not kinda Black, he’s Black, Black! Like a chocolate dipped dream! Yes! It is so rare to see POC characters in otome, and I for one hope that Voltage USA, keeps it up with their future AmeMix releases!

So I sorta kinda fell in love with REVANCE!
REVANCE is the fictional boy band in Voltage Inc.’s mobile otoge Scandal in the Spotlight: Our Secret Love Song. At first I was hesitant, SITS, comes on the heels of Serendipity Next Door, which also featured a secret love affair with a musician. However, unlike Spotlight, Serendipity Next Door was cancelled before the story could really take off. So I wasn’t really ready to invest my time and money into another game, only to see it cancelled prematurely. Boy am I glad that I changed my mind, the game reminds me of Voltage’s older (at least to me) games like Love Letter from Thief X and Be My Princess, in that I instantly fell in love with all of the characters! There is something special about each and every one of the selectable guys, and believe me when I say I haven’t felt this way about an otome for a long time.

The purpose of demos are to get you hyped for the actual game, well mission accomplished! Michaela Laws’ newly released demo does that and more! I have never been so ready for a new release as I have for Seduce Me 2, the sequel to free to play otome Seduce Me. I can’t wait for the game, and I am more than willing to pay any amount just to get my hands on it when it is released.
