Two and a Half Studios just launched their Kickstarter to raise funding for A Date with Death – Beyond the Bet, which will add extra DLC content for their chat sim romance game, A Date with Death. Babygirl Grim is back and now with more content–additional days, extra convos, and even NSFW content. The campaign hit its funding goal in just 11 minutes, and they’re working on the stretch goals! But, don’t let that stop you, there are still plenty of reasons to support!
Story
You’re just an ordinary person… or so you thought. For your entire life, you’ve been narrowly avoiding death by pure luck… or is it something more? When a strange program suddenly appears on your computer, and someone claiming to be the Grim Reaper says he’s come for your soul, your life as you know it is thrown upside down.
As you delve deeper into the mysterious man that calls himself the Grim Reaper, you begin to wonder if fate brought you two together for a reason. Can you resist his charm, or will you fall for the one destined to take your soul?
Beyond the Bet Extra Features
- Five new days with Grim – Beyond the Bet will introduce five brand new days of content that branches off from the original game. It does not take part after any of the current endings – instead, it leads you down a brand new storyline.
- New Sprites – While A Date with Death is primarily a chat simulator, the new DLC will feature more scenes where you spend time with Grim in person – which means he gets a brand new standing sprite!
- Optional NSFW – Alongside Beyond the Bet, the team plans to release a free patch that will add NSFW content to the new DLC. At the moment, they have a planned two 18+ scenes in the game.
Kickstarter Campaign Details
The Kickstarter campaign launched on May 15, 2024 and is set to run until June 14, 2024! The current campaign goal is $18,612 USD to help with production costs for the additional content. Including English voice acting and more.
The biggest stretch goal is Japanese voice acting and localization, giving players the chance to choose between English, Japanese, or no voice acting in the final version of the game!
