Edit (4/5): The Kickstarter for this game failed to achieve the necessary funds by the deadline. Despite not reaching their goal, Argent Games will continue to work on the game!
Hey hey guys I know it’s been awhile since my last Kickstarter post, life has been throwing me curve balls left and right. But, I’m back again with another Kickstarter campaign, this time for the upcoming Boys Love romance visual novel, Chess of Bladesfrom indie game developers, Argent Games!!
This is Argent Games’s second title in the span of a year and I for one am just happy to see developers willing to create more BL titles! There is definitely a market for BL games and Chess of Blades promises to be a welcome edition to the community! So, I’m definitely going to keep a close eye on this game’s progress.
Hey Hey everyone, the entire month of March here at Nice Job Breaking It, Hero is Megane Madness Month! Throughout the month I will be writing posts about my favorite bespectacled bishies, from lists to spotlights, I’m just going to let my megane bias run free! Also feel free to join me and spread the megane love throughout the month, there’s no such thing as too much megane love!
This time around I’m spotlighting five of my favorite megane characters from mobile otome game developer, Voltage Inc! Last year I wrote a Top 10 Voltage Guyslist, so expect to see some of the guys from that list making a repeat appearance here, but there will also be a few new faces! Also, I don’t know what to tell you guys, but the fact that all of the guys on this list are dark haired hotties is purely coincidence… though I will admit that I am partial to raven haired megane characters in general. 😛 So without further ado, My Top Five Favorite Megane Men-Voltage Inc Edition!
*Also, this is not a ranked list, the guys are just in the order i looked them up in, which probably speaks to my preference…*

Kicking off Megane Madness Month reviews is none other than the evil prince himself, Iori Enjo! This was the very first route that I ever played in Scandal in the Spotlight and the second route Voltage released. He just seemed like the better of the two options available at the time, and in hindsight, I don’t regret choosing to play Iori’s route before Kyohei’s route. In fact, if I’d played this route second, I don’t think I would have liked the guy as much as I did…
Iori is the kind of guy that just grows on you… But, even I have to admit that most folks won’t like him very much. He’s not the easiest guy to love, and even I, a self proclaimed lover of cool intellectuals and ice queens, had a hard time swallowing some of the stuff he said throughout the route. But, I stuck with it and the pay off was worth it?!
**Disclaimer: This is a SPOILER FREE review, but if you don’t trust my word or you like being surprised, I also wrote a general full game review for Scandal in the Spotlight, HERE! I DO NOT own any of the images used in this review, ALL images, screenshots, and characters belong to Voltage Inc. Please if you are interested in the game, download it for free in the App Store or from Google Play and purchase the stories when they are available in your area.
It seems Voltage Inc has made another questionable decision concerning their line of mobile otome games and let’s just say the fandom (myself included) is not pleased… It’s a shame because this news has almost completely overshadowed the release of their newest Voltage USA app Love & Legend…
Yesterday (March 1st) Voltage Inc announced that they would be moving their AmeMix line of mobile games to a new combined portal app, called Lovestruck! All current and future AmeMix titles and stories will be released through the new app, and after a few month (Voltage has yet to make an official announcement) all of their individual AmeMix titles will be removed from the Google Play Store and App Store. This only effects Voltage USA’s AmeMix titles (Astoria Fates Kiss, Gangster in Love, and Castaway: Love’s Adventure) and NOT their Japanese based Visual Novel titles!
Blerdy Otome is an otome games and visual novel review site that runs on Black Girl Magic and Dreams. While I mostly focus on romance themed games, I’ve been known to cover a wide range of nerdy and otaku themed topics.
So, step right up and prepare your heart! Let’s talk about otome games!!
