Fangirl Moment: Barack Obama

TGIF! It’s been a long week, but here we are again with another Fangirl Friday!! Last week I covered a hilarious video that spoke to my fangirl heart like no other video before it, and this week I’m going to switch gears a bit. With the inauguration on the horizon, I wanted to pay tribute to the outgoing president, Mr. Barack Hussein Obama II.

Say what you will about the man and his policies, but at the end of the day he was a class act from his first day to his last and I will truly miss having him as Commander in Chief of the United States of America. So, in this very special Fangirl Moment post, I’m gonna break from my usual topics and bring you all something a bit more real….

*ahem* I thought about writing something political, but that’s not my style so I figured why not send the man off with a smile… so, I tracked down my favorite Obama memes, and sassy Obama moments, because we’re all gonna need a little laughter in our lives after the changing of the guard tomorrow!

Showed me what love looked like!

love

I only know what they show to the public, but the Obamas had one of the most beautiful relationships I have seen in a long time. The way the President looks at his wife and the way she looks at him is enough to give you butterflies… it’s just so damn perfect! You could feel the love between these two, whether First Lady Michelle Obama was straightening his tie or hamming it up with him in front of the cameras, there wasn’t a single moment that I doubted the strength of their relationship. They were partners, a united front, and he made it known to the world just how much he loves and respects his wife… the Obamas set the bar high!

The Memes

How could I write about President Obama without talking about all of the internet meme?! When President Obama leaves his office and joins the ranks of former Presidents, many of the things we loved and hated about the man will grow fuzzy… but there is one thing that will remain eternal: Obama Memes! I don’t know about you all, but the ridiculous amount of internet memes for the 44th President of the United States were both hilarious and at times a bit upsetting, but at the end of the day I can’t imagine life without them!

He knew how to have fun!

Say what you will about President Obama, but the man knew how to have fun! He wasn’t a stiff, stick in the mud, no President Obama knew how to reach people.. He knew how to get down and dirty, he wasn’t afraid to play around and that’s what made him so relatable!!

The Obama/Biden Bromance

bromance

So I mentioned earlier that the First Lady and the President had one of the most beautiful romances of all time, but the bromance between President Obama and VP Joe Biden is one for the record books. I mean look at the way Mr. Biden looks at the Prez, like he’s the center of his world… no, his universe! I seriously want someone to look at me the way Joe Biden looks at Obama… heck, I think we all do!

The Mic Drop

And finally the only way to close out a farewell President Obama post is with his epic mic drop, because that man definitely knew how to go out with style! So whatever awaits us in the coming days, weeks, and years… I will always remember this man for all of the laughter and tireless effort he put into everything he did as our 44th President! He gave us hope and it is with that, sentiment that I will continue to live my life! Farewell President Obama, you will be missed!

So let’s keep this as clean as possible… What were some of your favorite Obama moments? Memes? Will you miss our 44th President? Let me know what you think in the comments section. If you like what you see, like this post or follow Nice Job Breaking It, Hero! As always THANK YOU FOR READING!!

  1. Obama, his family, and Joe Biden are role models and I’m going to miss them so much! But I’m glad that in my lifetime, I had him as president. Now tomorrow awaits the fight of our lives, and everything we worked for and valued will be put to the test.

  2. Yas! Everything about this post I love! I’m going to miss Obama. I can only hope and pray the next 4 years we aren’t thrown into complete chaos. *sigh*

Thanks for this Naja! Brings us joy on a very dark day 🙂

    1. He was the President of a Generation and it’s a shame we couldn’t keep him… :'(

*hugs* We all needed to remember the good times we had… before the “event” last Friday…

  3. We miss him so much D: The bromance between him and Joe was beautiful to behold, only potentially surpassed by his and Michele’s relationship. Joe came home to Delaware to a parade in his honor and was brought to tears by it. I wish I could’ve gone (Delaware isn’t too far from me), but it was a work day. Obama is the best president of my lifetime. We were privileged to have him as our president for eight years, and for the next four when I speak the word “President” it will only be followed by his name ♥

    1. Me too! It’s only been a few days and I’m still recovering!

LOL that bromance was a sight to behold! OMG really?! Dang, those two were so humble and down to earth… I agree we were spoiled rotten this time!

  4. I love the one where Obama is posing in front of the Superman statue. It’s too bad so many of his policies are now going to be trashed. And my state voted for the clown in office after having our businessman governor poison people in the state and override democracy. Ugh.

Gush about cute otome boys~
