[Special Announcement] The Big Reveal- OWLS: Otaku Warriors for Liberty and Self Respect

So, a little while ago I joined forces with a few WordPress Bloggers to work on a very special project! In light of recent current events, Kausus of Otaku Gamer Zone came up with a brilliant idea, a group to help spread a positive message of hope! And thus the OWLS (Otaku Warriors for Liberty and Self Respect) were born!! Together we hope to spread love an acceptance in order to create a sense of unity and to create a space for people to feel comfortable being who they are!!

Our Mission

“We are a group of otaku bloggers who promotes acceptance of all individuals regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion and disability. We emphasize the importance of respect, kindness, and tolerance to every human being.”

Our motto, Free to Be Me, created by the lovely Arria Cross of Fujinsei, perfectly sums up the ideology of the group. No matter who you are, or where your from (this just went Backstreet Boys real quick :P) you should feel comfortable expressing yourself without fear of wrongful persecution! Each and every blogger in this group is dedicated to our cause and I am proud to count myself as one of them! We may come from different walks of life and sure we live apart, but we are united by our love of anime and our belief in acceptance!

So What Do We Do?

So, in order to spread our message of self acceptance and tolerance, we’ve decided to hold Monthly Blog Tours! During Blog Tours, we will each write individual theme posts on our blogs that promote our group’s values of self-respect and acceptance, with a bit of an otaku twist! So look forward to all of our OWLS posts in the near future!!
