Edit (10/12): The Kickstarter for this game was successful at meeting its funding goal for the MDSOA: Deluxe Edition, but the campaign did not raise enough for the MD: Echoes stretch goal. The final funding amount was $13,062 with 251 backers! The Deluxe Edition has a tentative release date of early 2017!
I know it’s been awhile since my last Kickstarter campaign post, but I was super busy with real life issues when this Kickstarter campaign started up. On top of that, I was a little on the fence about how exactly I was going to write this up, as it is a dual project Kickstarter. From what I gathered, Aeon Dream Studios is attempting to raise funding for a deluxe edition of their current project Mystic Destinies: Serendipity of Aeons. The deluxe edition will feature added bonuses such as additional stories, improvements to Shou’s route, improved backgrounds, POV stories and much more!
Early on in the campaign the funding goal for the deluxe edition was reached! So, right about now you guys are wondering why you should fund this campaign if the devs already reached the goal for Mystic Destinies: Serendipity of Aeon- Deluxe Edition? Well that brings me to part two of the campaign… the sequel to MDSOA, Mystic Destinies: Echoes!
Since, Mystic Destinies: Echoes is merely a stretch goal of the main campaign, I won’t write a full campaign review like I did in the past. Instead I’ll just try to keep this short and give you all the cliff notes version. Echoes is the planned sequel to MDSOA that will feature a new protagonist, Aurelia, and a new set of love interests (the antagonists from the first game). The sequel will take the foundation laid by MDSOA to create a brand new, improved gaming experience with a much more polished storyline.
In order to fund the game, the campaign must raise $20,200. There is less than two weeks left in the campaign, and the devs have managed to raise $10,502 with 187 backers. If the funding amount is not met by the end of the campaign, Aeon Dream Studios will take the additional funding from the current campaign and apply it towards the development of Echoes. After the completion of the current campaign, the devs will open a second Kickstarter specifically for Mystic Destinies: Echoes (if the current campaign fails to reach the $20,200 goal).The campaign will run until October 8th, 2016!

In addition to the Echoes stretch goal, there are two more stretch goals; one for a free short, non- otome version of Mystic Destinies and the second stretch goal will help add full voice-acting to the Mystic Destinies: Serendipity of Aeons- Deluxe Edition.
