Hello Heroes and Travelers, here we are at the end of another week here on Nice Job Breaking It, Hero! I… am… finally… done… with… the… 30 Day Anime Challenge!!! All I have to say about the challenge as a whole right now is, NEVER AGAIN…at least not anytime soon…
I kid, I kid… I had a lot of fun with the challenge and I really hope that you guys had as much fun reading my posts as I had writing them!! In other news, I was featured in Lita Kino’s Blogger Feature Friday post! I am so humbled to have been featured by such an wonderful blogger! So I want to extend yet another THANK YOU to Lita Kino, you are an amazing blogger and I am so happy that you took the time to visit my tiny corner of the internet! Lita is such a great blogger and I have had the pleasure of chatting with them both here on WordPress and on Twitter; so if you haven’t already check out her blog it’s one of the best!!
Finally, I went to a DC Pokemon GO Meetup Event and it was a blast!! I had so much fun exploring the Capital and meeting fellow Pokemon Trainers from the District! My legs may be sore and I have a bit of a tan, but the Pokemon at the Capital were top notch! After less than 10 minutes of walking we ran into a Rhydon, an Onix, and a whole host of other Pokemon! Oh yeah, and my Team, Instinct was really holding it down! Not only were we dropping Lures, but we were taking Gyms left and right!! Sure it rained a bit, but it wasn’t enough to keep us in the District down!!

There were a total of 73 votes in this poll, so thank you to everyone who voted! It seems like top anime genre is… Shounen ai/Yaoi with 10 votes (I added the 1 other vote to this section since it was for yaoi). This is followed by Fantasy with 7 votes and Romance, Sci-Fi, and Psychological/Thriller with 6 votes each!
I really want to hear from you guys, let me know what you think of Nice Job Breaking It, Hero. Do you guys like my posts? Is there something you think I should fix or add? Please feel free to let me know here in the comments section, or you can ask me anonymously on Tumblr (just let me know that you’re from WordPress)!
Now that the 30 Day Anime Challenge is done, I will be taking a week off to relax from blogging. So there will be no new posts until August 7th… I need some me time so that I can finally catch up on my Summer Gaming List. The 30 Day Anime Challenge pretty much put everything else on hold, so I plan on putting the blog on hold while I catch up. Don’t worry I won’t work too hard during my blogging vacation… but I do have some interesting things I want to implement when I return… like an actual schedule…maybe.
So what should ya’ll expect when I return? *clears throat* More posts! *pause for effect* But seriously, I have a handful of posts in my drafts that I’m tired of looking at… some have been in there for months collecting dust. So, I’m gonna dust them off and make them pretty for you guys.
In addition to the posts in my Drafts, I was tagged by Matt in the Hat for the My Pokemon Gym post thing, but I didn’t have the chance to really work on the post during the challenge, now that I’m done it’s a top priority! Hmm, let’s see…what else…ah yeah, I’m 1 1/2 routes away from finishing C14 Dating and I’m still in the early stages of Norn9… There are two Ramblings posts that I’ve been working on for months so we’ll see how far I get with those during the break…Ah, yeah I played through some demos so I’ll be writing up some posts on those eventually… and some other things that I’ll keep to myself until I finish them lol!
Okay so with that said, I will have one post going out this week… my post on the Pokemon 20th Anniversary Legendary Distribution for August, so look out for that on 8/1!!
The new poll is: What topics should I write more about? What kinds of posts do you want to see more of on Nice Job Breaking It, Hero? Let me know by voting! The poll will be open until August 27th at 11:59PM! You can find it in the side bar (or if you are using a phone/tablet @ the bottom of the page). If you still can’t find it, click the link HERE! I look forward to your responses!
Here we are again at the end of another Recap Post, where I highlight four interesting posts from other bloggers that showed up on my Reader this past week…
DC vs. Marvel: Which Movie Franchise Represents Its Audience More?– Anyone who has been keeping up with SDCC knows that DC is finally ready to do battle with the to that of more established Marvel Cinematic Universe! On the heels of such trailer reveals as Justice League and Wonder Woman, even die-hard Marvel fans will admit that DC has really stepped up their game. But, while fans have been busy arguing which superhero franchise is the best, this author puts a different spin on the age old debate by looking at which franchise is most representative of its respective audience. This is an interesting spin on a heavily debated topic, and I highly recommend giving it a read (whether you’re in to comics/superheroes or not)!
Becoming A Better Viewer: Creating A Space– This post is the first in a short series of posts that serve as an informal instruction manual for anime viewers. In this post, the author discusses the importance of creating time for anime viewing in order to increase viewer enjoyment. Despite being a rather short, I found this post to be very informative! I highly recommend giving the entire series a read, especially if you are like me and have trouble scheduling your anime viewing experiences.
Tuesday’s Top 5: Weird Episode Titles– When I saw this post in my Reader, I just knew I had to include it in this week’s Blogger Spotlight… Most of the time we are so caught up in the either the characters or the progression of an anime’s plot, that we fail to notice some of the more subtle anime features, namely the titles. This blogger compiled a list of five of the weirdest anime episode titles and the result is fun and informative post!
Why I Only Follow On Anime Per Season– So rounding out this week’s Blogger Spotlight posts is a short piece on anime watching habits. The author of this post offers a personal account of their seasonal anime viewing habits and the reasons behind their decision. As a fan with anime commitment issues, this post couldn’t have been any more welcome!
So here we are at the end of this week’s post! Be sure to check out some of the bloggers from this week’s Weekly Blogger Spotlight, and drop them a line! Strike up a conversation or make a new friend! Don’t be shy get out there and mingle! Also, don’t worry if your post wasn’t featured in this week’s post, keep writing and keep posting! I’ll keep my eye out!
See something in your Reader this week that you wanna share? Tell me what you think about my post? Anything you want to see more of? Less of? Have an idea for a post? Shoot me a line in the comments section or Ask Me anonymously on my Tumblr! Don’t be shy, I swear I don’t bite! I appreciate input and discussions from my readers so let your voice be heard…and finally, as always Thank You for reading!
