30 Day Anime Challenge: Day 23-Favorite attack someone used in an anime

I feel like my answers for these posts are getting sillier and sillier the longer this challenge goes on. So if you are expecting a serious answer Day 23’s prompt: My favorite anime attack… you’ve come to the wrong place. In fact this is probably one of the silliest attacks used in an anime, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t think long and hard about my answer…

thinking

You know what I’m not going to do an introduction for my choice this time, in fact I’m going to just get right to it… My pick for my favorite attack someone used in an anime is…

The Konohagakure Hiden Secret Taijutsu Technique: One Thousand Years of Death from the shounen anime series Naruto. See, I told you guys this was a silly answer and to think I actually put a lot of thought into this choice! 😛

So you guys must be wondering, why this attack? Well, it’s because despite being so ridiculous and goofy, this move actually works! On it’s own the attack is little more than the attacker inserting their fingers into their opponent’s bottom… But, when coupled with either chakra or weapons, this move can become lethal.

The move exploits the opponent’s blind-spot, leaving them open to additional surprise techniques, however because of it’s close range users of the technique are also open to retaliation attacks. But, that’s not why this attack is on here… The One Thousand Years of Death technique is on here because it’s hilarious. I still remember the first time I saw this attack used on the show, I nearly fell out of my chair laughing, it was just too funny. The whole thing was only made even funnier by the reactions of the other characters, most of which aren’t expecting to see a fellow shinobi insert their fingers into someone else’s bottom during a heated battle.

So that’s my pick for my favorite attack someone used in an anime… Was it just as silly as you expected? What do you think of my choice? What would you have chosen? Let me know in the comments section! As always THANK YOU for reading!!!

  1. I assume you got this far since you’ve seen The Last, but Reverse Harem Jutsu is also hilarious! I’ve always been a fan of Ranma’s “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire” attack. I dunno why. It’s probably since I’m such a big fan of Ranma and that was the first “multiple punches continuously” attack I had seen in anime before. On that same note, I love Saitama’s “continuous normal punches” from One Punch Man!

    1. Lol, I am spoiler proof with Naruto! But, that was one of the funniest moves ever!!

I never finished Ranma 1/2, but rapid punching attacks are always so cool! We had to do something like that when I took Taekwondo, but I sucked at it 😛

  2. Oh man I remember that, I leled into my grave when I saw it 😹😹

These questions are so hard (^_^;) I like when there’s animals/or unusual things used in the attack~

  3. I remember that move. When I first heard it, I thought it was a super deadly move used by experts but all that was fingers shoving up to a butt. I lol’d hard after Naruto got hit by it. I think you chose the best answer. XD

      1. It was silly. I remember in the old episodes, Naruto did the trick on Gaara but he used a kunai with a paper bomb.

  4. Naruto was the first shonen manga I had ever read… and I still find this moment absolutely hilarious 8 years later.

Am I allowed to say Sen-i-sou-shitsu (the finisher from Kill la Kill) is my favorite attack? Not because I like seeing people flying around nude, just… it was entertaining and honestly badass. ;P

Gush about cute otome boys~
