Here we are again with another PokeNews report! We are now six months into the Pokemon 20th Anniversary Legendary Pokemon Release Event! We’ve seen a host of Pokemon announcements and goodies from Nintendo since February, from the announcement of Moon and Sun to the release of Pokken Tournament! We’ve got five legendary Pokemon under our belts already, but it’s time to push forward another legendary from the Fourth Generation of Pokemon games, with July’s Shaymin release!
Shaymin, the Gratitude Pokemon, is a grass type (grass/flying when in Sky form) introduced in Pokemon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. While it doesn’t evolve and cannot breed, Shaymin has the ability to switch between two forms: Land and Sky. This ability is activated using the Gracidea key item. However, Shaymin will transform from Sky to Land at night, if the Pokemon is frozen, or if it is deposited into a PC.
Shaymin has been released through event before. So if you missed your chance to get Shaymin from one of the earlier events, now is your chance.
The Shaymin Event will be a Nintendo WiFi Distribution and will take place between July 1st to 24th 2016. In order to obtain Shaymin, players must have a 3DS or New 3DS, and Pokemon X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire.
The event Shaymin will be lv. 100 and have the Ability: Natural Cure, it will also come loaded with the moveset Seed Flare, Aromatherapy, Substitute, and Energy Ball. It will also have the hold item Micle Berry.

Seeing some of these legendary pokemon brings back memories of movies. I don’t play the games but watching pokemon was part of my childhood.
Same, but I play the games more now tho. I tried to watch the newer anime episodes a few days ago and I had to shut my TV off lol
But Pokemon will always be a part of my childhood!
Yup, I also don’t think I can go back to watching it and I’m not interested in the new ones at all.
The Kanto and Johto seasons will always be my favorites!! 😀
I don’t actually remember which season was which haha, but I really did enjoy them. The movies were great too. What I didn’t use to understand was how come after going through all that legendary pokemon stuff in the movies, ash still didn’t know who the legendary pokemon was in the episodes.
I pretty much label the series as ‘The Misty Years’ and ‘Pokemon AM’ (After Misty) lol
Yes! Like come on Ash you just met a crap ton of Legendary pokemon, why are you acting so new? But I always figured the movies were like an AU or something for the main canon anime arcs…
aha that makes sense. I would definitely understand it like that. yeah for me, I was young and didn’t know that anime movies were generally canon from the original story so it was one of my pet peeves to see him not INTERACT WITH THEM LIKE HE SHOULD.
