So for all of you guys out there that still play Pokémon, today, February 1st is a special day. Today marks the first day of the 11 month Pokémon 20th Anniversary’s Legendary Pokémon Releases. So If you missed the other Legendary Events in the past, 2016 is your year! To kick things off February is Mew Month!
The Event only legendary, First Genners remember Mew for it’s complicated glitch cheat and for being the cause of MewTwo’s identity crisis in the first Pokémon movie. This cute pink Psychic type is one of my favorite legendary Pokémon, it’s such a versatile Pokémon with the ability to learn just about every Pokémon move (minus some Pokémon exclusives). I had a Mew in Gen 1, but because of the lack of forward trading beyond Gen 2, the poor dear was left behind in Pokémon Yellow. So finally after all these years I can finally obtain Mew!
The Mew Event will be a Serial Code Distribution and will take place between February 1st to 24th 2016 at participating U.S. Gamestop locations (I’m not sure about other countries). In order to use the distribution code, players must have a 3DS or New 3DS, and Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire.
