Fail to Plan, Plan to Fail: 2016 Blog Plans and Schemes

So I always have trouble writing outlines, now this a problem I’ve had since elementary school. Usually I just free write, without any prior planning, in a lot of ways that’s kind of how this blog is, I just write. So I decided to change things up a bit. First I want to explain a little about the types of posts I currently have on the blog.

Housekeeping…In the Here and Now

Reviews-There are three types of reviews that I write, for now all reviews will be located under the “Games” section on the top menu…

1. First Thoughts– It’s exactly like it sounds. First Thoughts posts will be my prelim assessment of a game before I get too invested in the story. Usually these reviews will only cover the prologue or the common route of a game and will contain an early assessment of all of the characters. They will usually be short, but I can get rather excited sometimes so they can get pretty long. These reviews will be relatively spoiler free. (Ex. Dandelion)
2. Mini-Reviews– Mini reviews are similar to First Thoughts posts, except instead of covering just the prologue, they will cover the entire game. I will try to keep these as spoiler free as humanly possible, but again, sometimes I get excited. (Ex. Scandal in the Spotlight)
3. Character/Route Reviews-These reviews will focus on a single character or route and they will contain spoilers….Let me say that again for the folks in the back: THEY WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS! These reviews will be an in depth analysis of a particular character or route, with my opinions and thoughts sprinkled throughout. (Ex. Astoria Fates Kiss-Hades Review)

Rants – Rants can be on a wide range of topics and can occur at random, with absolutely no warning. There is no limit to these posts, they can be short or long, it all depends on the topic and how passionate I am about said topic. For now, all Rants can be found under the “Rants” section on the top menu. (Ex. Howl’s Moving Castle)

Fangirl Moments – Now these are relatively new, in these posts I will highlight a book, movie, show, comic, etc. that I really like and think people should take a look at. Like rants they will cover a wide range of topics, without any specific limitations to them. These will be relatively short, a few paragraphs in length, just to give you a taste about the subject and why I like it so much. These posts will be located under the “Fangirl Moment” section on the top menu. (Ex. Miraculous Ladybug)

Boys Love – All posts about BL, yaoi, or shounen-ai will be housed under their respective headings, but will be distinguishable from other content by the addition of “BL” to the title (Ex. Ramblings BL).  Please be warned that some of the content in this section may be NSFW, but rest assured I will warn you first.

To Infinity and Beyond…

So Now to my plans for this blog. I have a lot of things that I want to talk about on this blog, I have plenty of games, anime, manga, etc. in my backlog. But, I am easily distracted so it’s highly likely that I might drop something on this list in favor of a new item not on any of these lists. I will try my best to get all of these things out to you guys over the course of the year, but at my own pace. Anything listed below is already either in the works or currently in my drafts and is subject to change, and by change I mean additional content. So without further ado here are the things I have planned for this blog for 2016 and beyond. Coming Soon…

January was the trial run, February is where we really start to kick everything off! I am super excited for 2016, it’s my New Bark Year after all 😀 ! As always I am open to suggestions and opinions, so feel free to comment, like, and share! I wanna hear from you guys! Now I don’t want this to sound like an excuse, but this is my final year of grad school so if I disappear from time to time, just know it’s because of school or you know…life. I will try my best to write about one to two posts a week, but no promises. I love blogging and I never want to have to force myself to write here, this is supposed to be fun and stress free… So here’s to another awesome year in blogging!
